We’re in the middle of our series, WHO CAN LEAD US? A People in Search of a King. This is our brave attempt to unbox the spiritual treasures found in three under-appreciated books: Joshua, Judges, and Samuel.

In Talk 5, we open the book of Samuel, or a warrior Judge.

This Talk contains 3 parts: (1) God Hears the

Humble Hannah; (2) Humble Samuel Hears

God; and (3) The Proud That Cannot Hear and

Cannot Be Heard. It starts with a broken, barren woman.

In Talk 4, we tackle the life of Samson—the last Judge. Samson is the long-haired dude with super strength. Samson is a superhero for many who don’t read the Bible. But you’ll find out that because he’s the last Judge of 12 very flawed Judges, and because this book is a downward spiral whose characters get worse and worse, then that means Samson is the baddest of them all. He is the most violent, promiscuous, and vengeful of all the Judges. But at the start, Samson looked really promising.

The key message of Talk 4 is You are set apart for God.

We’re in Talk 3 of our series, Who Can Lead Us? (A Bible Study on Joshua, Judges, and Samuel). 

Titled We Need a Hero, Talk 3 focuses on the book of Judges. It discusses three topics: 1) cast and plot; 2) a sample of two Judges; and 3) three warnings we must heed from the book.

The Book of Judges is a Tragedy. The purpose of the book is to disturb you. To warn you. To fill you with terror at the horrific state of those who fall away from God.

But the key message of Talk 3 is comforting: God will never break  His covenant with you.

This Feast Sunday, we begin a new series: WHO CAN LEAD US? A People in Search of a King: A Bible Study on Joshua, Judges, and Samuel. Joshua, Judges, and Samuel continue the story of Israel in the first five books of the Bible—Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy—also called the Torah.

In these three books, the Israelites needed a qualified leader to be their King. In this powerful series, WHO CAN LEAD US?, we ask:
·Who influences me? What influences me?
·How can I pick the best influence for my life?
·How can I influence others to become better people?
·How can I make the Greatest Leader—Jesus—lead me?

The title of the Talk is controversial. But it’s not just the title—this entire message is controversial. It will shake you to your core.

Welcome to the last Talk of our series, MORE THAN ENOUGH.

Our one big message for today is connected to our series title: Pray for more than enough. In today’s talk, we read the Bible verse where we got the phrase, more than enough. You’ll be surprised where we got it from and what it actually means.

God owns everything. We don’t own any of what we have. Everything is Grace! At best, we are just managers of what God has entrusted to us.

We’re God’s Property Managers.
The Bible has a term for it: God’s stewards.
Here’s the definition. “A Steward is someone entrusted with another person’s wealth and charged with the responsibility of managing it in the owner’s best interest – not theirs.”

As the Psalmist says: “You gave them charge of everything you made, putting all things under their authority” (Psalm 8:6 NLT)

God calls us to be stewards of all of Creation. You’re not just an employee. You’re now God’s Manager.

The key message of Talk 3: You’ve been promoted.

WE cannot talk about MORE THAN ENOUGH without talking about the source of all that MORE: God’s generosity.

Here’s our key passage for today’s Talk: Jesus said, “Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them… Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are.” (Matthew 6:26, 28-29 NLT)

Talk 2’s life-changing message: Trust in God’s generosity

Welcome to our brand new series, More Than Enough.

For four weeks, we’ll talk about money. Because whether we like it or not, money is a part of our lives. After all, we all have needs. And wants. In Talk 1, we’ll try to capture God’s Vision For Money.

Yes, God sees money in a unique way.
In this series (that I pray will turn your life upside down), we’ll try to understand God’s perspective of money and ask, “Do I see money as God sees it or as the world sees it?” When I relate with money, am I using God’s eyeglasses? Or am I using the world’s eyeglasses?

This may be a downer, but the goal of this series is not to teach you specific tools of how to grow your income, or how to build a side hustle, or how to multiply your wealth. (You can learn all that by reading our books at feastbooks.ph or attending my TrulyRichClub seminars.)

Instead, the goal of the series is to realign your money perspective with God’s vision for money. Boring? You’re mistaken. Because if that realignment happens, miracles will happen in your life. Taking on God’s vision for money will transform your relationship with money—and your life.
