The chain, The Grocery Outlet, was founded in 1998 and purchases products from manufacturers that are, in most cases, produced for a different intended client. The products, though, may fall short of specifications, have been overproduced, or contain imperfections.

• Tina Cortese discusses how winter weather in Ontario is impacting blood collections. February has been a month filled with heavy snowfall, extreme cold, and icy conditions across Ontario. This severe winter weather has wiped out the opportunity to collect hundreds of blood,  plasma, and platelet donations.
