This story is one I love. It spans 20 years from the 1970's to the 1990's. We talk about how Penny decided to leave home for 20 years, starting her career before WACs transitioned to the Army, reclassifying to intelligence, her work as a spy, the end of The Cold War, The Gulf War and Gulf War Syndrome. We discuss healing traumas and alcoholism. I also learn about her transition out of the military and all the amazing creative work she does with female veterans.

Meet Kim Morrow the show's first female veteran from the Coast Guard. I was dying to know about her military experience and Kim didn't disappoint.  Serving in the 80's her story of MST, and retaliation had me furious for how she was treated.  We discuss how the Navy and Coast Guard are similar and the under-representation of women, especially women in the Coast Guard. Her healing journey is an incredible inspiration. We discuss what has helped her including neurofeedback therapy and she gives great advice to help other female veterans healing from traumas.
