COCO FARMANI

My life long Passion for Poetry & Music Blossomed after a Horrific Life Event this year. Music came to my rescue in the morning on April 23, 2022 when my son taught me to download free music from YouTube, load it into Logic Pro and record Demo's of myself. From that moment on Writing Songs became my safe haven, my refuge from years of abuse, poverty, depression, abandonment and an impeding cycle of bad thoughts related to past memories, that were on repeat in my head. Music saved my life and so here, through the Art of Music and Poetry I share my desires and open my Heart to the world. With high hopes to Inspire the World.

A unique orchestra has to have its own very unique repertoire. Since our orchestra set-up is nowhere to be found elsewhere, you can be sure that you are always listening to music that has been written exclusively for the „Orchester der Kulturen“.

Mixing the orchestral colors with ethnic instruments from around the globe is our speciality as is to incorporate an intuitive improvised approach with sophisticated arrangements.

Even if we base a composition on a known work as for example Mozart’s „Ave Verum“, our music director re-orchestrates for African and Asian instruments and added in this case a new rhythmic part that feels like the elaborate drum work of a heavy metal band, punctuated by the vocal impros of our very own Griot from Senegal, Kandara Diebate, and the classical voice of Andrea Colangna or Abeer Nehme.

Merging all these traditions and colors is not an end in itself, but a vivid example to what kind of heights we all can achieve if we use all the potential of humankind to synthesize it into a new symphony of sound, oneness and harmony.

Lost in you speaks to the audience that chooses love over and over again, chooses faith in someone over and over again, chose belief in an individual over and over again, has their mental health deteriorated for wanting to love someone endlessly after hurt and pain, and feeling stuck in the dark with no way out of the cold dark night.

Live, Love and Be Free!

Canadian pop singer-songwriter Martina Stokes grew up constantly surrounded by music. Born into a family of musicians, Martina started training as a classical pianist at age four. Despite this influence, she felt a strong pull toward soul music and the Divas of music. She could often be found at a piano performing an Aretha Franklin song or singing karaoke to a powerhouse classic such as “I Have Nothing” by Whitney Houston. Martina has been writing songs longer than she can remember and started recording herself on loops with her keyboard at age six. Whenever she was asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, she would tell people “I AM a pop star!” From childhood to adulthood, she took every opportunity possible to sing for people at any function and for any audience. She began secretly making music in her tiny Vancouver apartment at age 17 while attending college. In late 2020, Martina was discovered singing a Whitney Houston song while working at a small supplement store, thinking no customers were present. Musician and actor Duane Angelvette told her she was simply too talented to continue hiding her gift and sponsored her financially to begin a recording career. Making a bold and brave choice, Martina began her public recording career in early 2021 and fell in love with the process. Despite resistance from family, she was too passionate about the art of song to ever give up pursing music as a career. She believes in reigniting the world of pop in which vocal ability and skill bring out the best in a piece of art and wow the listener. The inspiration for her goals with her music career come from artists such as Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Christina Aguilera and Ariana Grande. When asked about her vocal abilities, Martina says her coaches were Whitney and her Mariah, raising her love for skill in the beauty of being a vocalist.

Why should we care about keeping skin hydrated?

You’ve seen those faces with hydrated skin - they usually look bright, plump and awake. Hydrated skin has that natural glow that we’re all looking for, better than any highlighter or brightening makeup product can ever provide. Yes, there are professional facials that can help temporarily create that glow, but there are also more long term solutions.

As we age, we become more prone to wrinkles and fine lines setting in, but keeping our skin hydrated can combat the onset and appearance of these typical ageing concerns. Hydrated skin has more elasticity, which means that your skin bounces back easier from any creases or lines that are caused by our every day facial movements. Think the laughter lines that appear on your forehead, or at the corners of your eyes.
