    We saw KNIVES OUT a few days ahead of its official release, so our thoughts our recorded and here just in time for it to open! Find out if we liked it as much as seemingly everyone else on the planet. 


    The second major film of the week is Marielle's Heller's A BEAUTIFUL DAY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD, in which the one and only Tom Hanks plays the one and only Mr. Rogers. 

    Things go long with the PICK SIX this time around, because it's really hard to parse down the BEST FILMS DIRECTED BY FAMOUS ACTORS. A whole slew of different choices to chew on here. 

    For the next current-decade-centric THROWBACK CHALLENGE, Noah tasked Andy with Ari Folman's THE CONGRESS from 2013, while Andy gives Noah his long awaited run-in with Jim Jarmusch's 2016 film, PATERSON. 

    Noah is sipping on Clausthaler Dry Hopped, while Andy is introduced to Restless Nights, a bourbon barrel-aged coffee porter brewed in collaboration between Boulevard and Modern Times. Cheers!

    The second film of the week is the reboot/sequel, CHARLIE'S ANGELS. Noah has Five Good Questions for Andy regarding the modern update on a decades-old franchise. 

    This leads into the latest PICK SIX segment, in which the guys choose their personal favorite Time Travel films of all-time. 

    Continuing with the current decade-specific THROWBACK CHALLENGE, Noah gives Andy the 2016 Emily Dickinson biopic, A QUIET PASSION, while Andy tosses Noah the 2012 Rick Alverson-helmed film, THE COMEDY. 

    Noah sips on a mini Heineken 0.0 can, while Andy partakes in this year's batch of Celebration Fresh Hop IPA from Sierra Nevada. Cheers!

    One would have thought a sequel to THE SHINING would have cleaned up at the box office. That was not the case with DOCTOR SLEEP. We weigh in with our take on Mike Flanagan's swing at a tall task. 

    In the latest version of the PICK SIX, we count down our favorite Prison Films of all-time. Turns out there's plenty to pick from in this field. 

    Keeping the THROWBACK CHALLENGE tied to specific picks from this decade for the rest of the year, Noah gives Andy the 2016 film, CHRISTINE, while Andy tosses Noah Luca Guadagnino's A BIGGER SPLASH, which was released in 2015.

    Get ready for some diversity! Episode 25 offers up some wildly different films that cover a healthy geography of genres. 


    First we discuss the sixth film in the long-running action franchise, TERMINATOR: DARK FATE. 

    From there we finally get the chance to breakdown our takes on the best reviewed film of the year and Palme d'Or winner at the Cannes Film Festival, Bong Joon-ho's PARASITE. 

    After an entire month of horror film-centric PICK SIX segments, we dial things way back to the other side of the spectrum with our choices for the BEST ANIMATED FILMS OF THE 1990's. 

    Then there's the latest THROWBACK CHALLENGE, which once again switches gears to a menacing level. Andy talks about his first experience with Michael Haneke's debut film, THE SEVENTH CONTINENT (1989), and Noah at long last has the honor of seeing Terrence Malick's sophomore film, DAYS OF HEAVEN (1978).

    Steven Soderbergh is back for the second time in 2019 with the star-studded Netflix release, THE LAUNDROMAT. We assess the film. 


    It took a full decade, but the original gang is back together again for ZOMBIELAND: DOUBLE TAP. Noah has FIVE GOOD QUESTIONS for Andy regarding the horror comedy sequel. 

    In the latest horror-themed PICK SIX segment, the guys countdown their FAVORITE SLASHER FILMS OF ALL-TIME. 

    This week's THROWBACK CHALLENGE offers a nice bit of variety. Noah finally gives Andy the Formula One racing documentary, SENNA, while Andy offers Noah a head-first dive into the Robert Altman canon with SECRET HONOR.

    The long delayed sci-fi film from James Gray, AD ASTRA, finally hit the multiplexes last weekend. The guys weigh in on this endlessly intriguing film. 


    The PICK SIX this week ranks the best FILMS SET IN INDIANA. It's our home state. We had to cross this off the list at some point. 

    DISCLAIMER: At one point during the PICK SIX segment we experience some echo/feedback that continues throughout the rest of the episode. Many apologies, and we hope it doesn't distract too much from the enjoyment of this really, really fun episode. We won't let it happen again. 

    The latest listener commissioned THROWBACK CHALLENGE is quite the doozy. Andy's long-awaited wish to see Paul Schrader's MISHIMA: A LIFE IN FOUR CHAPTERS is granted, and Noah gets a chance to sit down with Claude Chabrol's LA CEREMONIE. These were very fun films to chat about.

    Heads up! Andy called an emergency audible this week, refusing to watch THE GOLDFINCH and instead electing the new film of the week to be HUSTLERS. Trust us, it was the right move. 


    The fellas geek the hell out on the PICK SIX this week when they dive into their choices for the best directorial debuts so far this century. It was heartbreaking to leave some off. 

    Variety dominates the THROWBACK CHALLENGE yet again. Andy talks about his experience with the HBO film, PATERNO, and Noah gets his long awaited introduction to Sam Mendes' 2008 film, REVOLUTIONARY ROAD.
