We're wrapping up our final discussions of 2024 films with three significant releases!

First up, we finally get to dig into Brady Corbet's sprawling third film, THE BRUTALIST.

From there we dissect the many layers of RaMell Ross' adaptation of the heralded Colson Whitehead novel, NICKEL BOYS.

We end with a hearty chat about Gia Coppola's newest, THE LAST SHOWGIRL. Is it the role of a lifetime for Pamela Anderson?

The first film on Episode 5 is a fun breakdown of Harmony Korine's follow-up to SPRING BREAKERS, the psychedelic comedy, THE BEACH BUM.

From there, we give our takes on the Brie Larson-led Netflix flick, UNICORN STORE.

The Pick Six segment sees us choosing our MOST ANTICIPATED FILMS OF SPRING 2019.

For the THROWBACK CHALLENGE, we pay tribute to the life and legacy of Agnes Varda by tackling two of her films. Noah talks about his first viewing of 1962's CLEO FROM 5 TO 7, while Andy is introduced to her 1985 film, VAGABOND.

The 2024 movie season wrapped up with one of the most diverse and exciting Christmas week releases of all-time, and we're here to cover it all!

Up first, we give our take on the James Mangold-helmed Bob Dylan biopic, featuring Timothee Chalamet in the role as the legendary songwriter. Does he pull off the tough task? Find out by listening to our review of A COMPLETE UNKNOWN.

The second film is Robert Eggers' fourth and largest production to date. We'll chat about his rendition of NOSFERATU.

We follow that up with a meaty discussion of the much buzzed about sophomore film from Halina Reijn, BABYGIRL. Is this Nicole Kidman's best film work in some time? Most are saying yes, so listen to find out our thoughts.

The final film of this episode is a slight pivot from our normal plan. Brady Corbet's THE BRUTALIST has still not expanded into our area, so we chose to substitute that slot with a look at Clint Eastwood's latest, JUROR #2, as it is currently enjoying a spot as the #1 most watched film on MAX.

We're breaking our own personal record by covering FIVE WHOLE NEW MOVIES for Episode 86! It's truly an embarrassment of riches at the multiplex again!

First up is Kyle Mooney's A24 disaster comedy, Y2K. How do we feel about his follow-up to the enchanting BRIGSBY BEAR? Listen to find out.

The second film is Pablo Larrain's final (maybe?) installment in his experimental, doomed-woman biopics, MARIA. Does Angelina Jolie nail the embodiment of famed Greek opera singer, Maria Callas? We weigh in on the topic.

Noah asks Andy about the next two films, since only one of the boys got to the theater to see them...

The third film covered is Luca Guadagnino's adaptation of William S. Burrough's QUEER, which features a buzz-worthy performance from Daniel Craig. Find out if it lives up to the hype.

Next is an ensemble true crime thriller? Yes, you read that right. Justin Kurzel directs Jude Law, Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan, Jurnee Smollett and Marc Maron in a Pacific Northwest based tale of true evil. Andy gives his take on THE ORDER.

We end with the most satisfying conversation of the bunch, question mark? Andy has so many questions for Noah about his experience watching KRAVEN THE HUNTER in public.

We end with a PICK SIX segment that breaks down our rankings for the MOST ANTICIPATED FILMS FOR THE REST OF 2024.

The final new film rounds out quite the variety for this episode. We embark on an intense discussion of the two-part HBO documentary on Michael Jackson - LEAVING NEVERLAND.

THE THROWBACK CHALLENGE this time finds Noah giving Andy Sam Peckinpah's 1971 film, STRAW DOGS. After that, Noah gets the chance to talk about Ed Harris' directorial debut from 2000, the Jackson Pollock-biopic, POLLOCK.
