That heads into a discussion of the Taylor Schilling-led horror flick, THE PRODIGY.

It's episode 83 and we start with 2 big new films!

First up is one of our most anticipated releases of the year...Sean Baker's indie darling, ANORA. Are we in on this like most of the world? Listen to find out.

The second new film is the juicier than expected Vatican intrigue of Edward Berger's CONCLAVE. We weigh in on this old-fashioned ensemble picture for adults.

The only new film discussed for Episode 81 is Jason Reitman's depiction of the first ever production in 1975 of SNL: SATURDAY NIGHT.

That leads into a big and brawny Pick Six segment. The guys dig deep into a large lot of films celebrating their 30th anniversary and rank the SIX BEST FILMS OF 1994.

We've got a plethora of new movie chatter on Episode 81!

Up first is the much-discussed JOKER: FOLIE A DEUX. It's not only critically panned, but audiences seem to dislike it as well. Where do we stand?

The second film of the week is another mega-ballyhooed-about lifetime project, Francis Ford Coppola's MEGALOPOLIS. Is it genius or trash?

The third film of the week is a documentary from Josh Greenbaum, WILL & HARPER. A road trip between Will Ferrell and his longtime friend, Harper Steele, where they discuss Harper's recent transition as a woman.

We finish it out with Andy asking Noah about his experience with the new Dreamworks animated success, THE WILD ROBOT.

Needless to say, this episode has a good mix across the board!

The boys tackle Coralie Fargeat's sophomore flick, THE SUBSTANCE. Wow, does this film spark some fun conversation!

Then they move on to a Pick Six segment that focuses on the best NASA-related films. Some staples and some surprises mixed in!

We decided (correctly, yeah?) to skip over the remake of THE CROW and opted to wait just a little longer to cover the legacy sequel, BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE. Most humans saw it over the weekend. We weigh in.

This week's PICK SIX is a very fun one! We tackle our choices for the BEST HIGH SCHOOL COMEDIES of all-time. Will there be crossover? Listen to find out!

For the 3rd time in the show's short history (and probably the 17th time in our long friendship), we get together to breakdown each category of this year's Academy Awards (except for the shorts). We dissect the likely winners, give our predictions, declare our rooting interests, and even champion which film from 2020 we personally would give each award to if granted such unilateral power.  Very special guest, Rob Patrick (Programming Director; Olympia Film Society/co-host of the I-5 Cinemabound podcast) joins us to talk about all sorts of absurd cinematic peaks and valleys both new and old.  

The first of three new films is the latest Ron Howard Oscar vehicle for Netflix, HILLBILLY ELEGY. The bestselling book gets adapted into a film starring Amy Adams and Glenn Close. We give our opinions, of which there are a lot.

The middle film of the new releases is Steve McQueen's second entry in the SMALL AXE series for Amazon, LOVERS ROCK.

We end our talk on new films with Clea Duvall's gay-centric take on the rom-com, HAPPIEST SEASON, which can be seen on Hulu. Kristen Stewart and Mackenzie Davis lead a largely likable ensemble.

The first triple-contributor PICK SIX in over a year finds us all counting down our choices for our SIX FAVORITE FEEL-GOOD FLICKS OF ALL-TIME. Our personal choices for the movies that put us in an instantly good mood when they're thrown on.

The show is closed out with Rob's nominated THROWBACK CHALLENGE. Noah and Andy talk about their first-ever visit with Brian DePalma's 2002 steam-noir thriller, FEMME FATALE. Oh boy, was this fun.
