Welcome to another new topic where we decided to talk about “Putting a Ring on It.” Today’s pick comes from Caleb and is an Australian film. This film comes from Writer & Director P.J. Hogan and is called, “Muriel’s Wedding.” We had a real blast with this one. Caleb and Eric have a few games that the snobs play along with, we talk about being lonely, purpose in life, outgrowing your childhood shadow, life, death, and so much more. Who knew this film had so much to give?! Caleb decided to go the literal route, but each Snob can chose to interpret this topic any way they want. Enjoy!
Film Discussed: Muriel's Wedding (1994)

SNOBBIES! It’s the end of the Spooky season! It hardly seems that the time is here. It feels like it had just begun. But this week we have Jared’s pick for Spooktober V and he chose a film that has been on our spooky lists for years. A film cloaked in darkness and creepy imagery. A film directed by the great Werner Herzog, “Nosferatu the Vampyre.” Joining us on this trip is JOHNNY P! We are so happy to have him on the pod. Having seen this film in the Prospect basement with Jared a few years ago, the rewatch of this film was a very spooky time. We really enjoyed talking about this film and what makes this a Halloween classic. Join us on the journey as we take on this film and wrap up SPOOKTOBER V.
Film Discussed: Nosferatu the Vampyre (1979)

Hey everyone, this week we have Caleb’s pick for SPOOKTOBER! This pick comes to us from director Alejandro Amenábar and is “The Others.” This film is very hard to talk about without spoiling the film, but it takes place in 1945 at the end of the war where we find Nicole Kidman giving some new caretakers the tour of the house before giving them the job. The film gets very interesting when her daughter and son start to see “Others” in the home and Nicole suspects that ghosts are inhabiting the home. This film was a blast to talk through and we hope you enjoyed it too.

SPOOOOOOOOOOOKTOBER is still here! Today is Eric’s pick and he chose to pick a film that is a callback from Episode 1 of The Film Snobs, and we only talked about it for 15 minutes. A film that deserves hours of conversation, directed by Na Hong-jin, “The Wailing.” This film is NOT for the faint of heart. A film that delves into the supernatural and the demonic. WE really crack this film open. Guest STEVEN joins us on the pod and we manage to have more than a few spooooooky technical problems…but we prevailed. We hope you enjoy this film if you watched it…but we’d understand if you decided not to. Enjoy

A thing happened and a Founding Snob would like to have a warm word with you Snobbies. Enjoy.
Welcome to the FEVER DREAMS!! Snobbies, this week’s pick comes to you from Eric’s mind. This pick features ET’s Henry Thomas and is directed by directors Brian Trenchard-Smith & Russell Hagg, “The Quest” or also called “Frog Dreaming.” This film was a big split. Some of the snobs liked it and one snob definitely did not like it. A film about a child who wants to find the mysterious truth behind the local “Donkeygin.” This was a fun one, Enjoy!

WE ARE HERE!! This topic is a bit of a trip! We have decided to do Childhood Fever Dreams! Films that we watched when we were young and barely remember the details. This episode’s pick is Caleb’s pick and he picked a truly unwatchable film, "Summer of the Monkeys." haha. We couldn’t find it for rent, buy, or stream. It was only on Youtube in 10 parts with part 4 missing, haha. WE REALLY enjoyed talking about this wacky movie and talked about our own experiences with childhood fever dreams, including Caleb’s family road trips. Enjoy!

WELCOME BACK! We’re here not with Jared’s pick for ROM COMS but his wife’s pick! This pick can be described as a CLASSIC rom com from the hay-day of romantic comedies. This film stars legends in Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson, directed by Donald Petrie, “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.” This film was funny, witty, smart, and iconic. The film was not without faults but we very much enjoyed the conversations around rom coms and their demise among other things. We hope you enjoy this episode!
