Everyone has been raving over #DriversLicense by #OliviaRodrigo!

Olivia posted a screenshot showing that she is number 3 on the Apple Chart followed by Taylor Swift songs. Taylor commented on the photo saying “I say that’s my baby and I’m really proud”! What an endorsement!

Olivia is known for her role in the Disney + series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.

Fans have speculated that Olivia was in a relationship with her on-screen romance Joshua Bassett from High School Musical: The Musical, The Series last year but believe the two broke up last August.

Since then, Joshua has released multiple songs about heart break which are believed by fans to be about Olivia. Driver's License contains a lyric that reads “Guess you didn’t mean what you wrote in that song about me” which further fuels the speculation that the two of them were together and Joshua’s songs are about Olivia.

She also refers to a blonde girl in the song which fans believe is Sabrina Carpenter who Joshua is rumoured to be dating.

#Zayn has been coming through lately. We got a break new song #Vibez from him that came with a video and he announced his third studio album “Nobody is Listening” is coming out this Friday. It’s been three years since we received Zayn’s last album Icarus Falls which had 29 tracks. It’s a big week for Zayn since he is celebrating his 28th birthday tomorrow!

Singer Tracy Chapman settled  her case against Nicki Minaj after Nicki used her song without permission.

In 2018, Nicki Minaj’s team asked for permission to sample Tracy’s song “Baby Can I Hold You” which they turned down. Nicki did in fact record the song which she called “Sorry” but didn’t put her song on her album. Instead the song was leaked and was shared around online.

Tracy then filed a lawsuit against Nicki. Nicki has offered $450,000 USD to Tracy to avoid the case going to trial and Tracy has accepted.

Miley Cyrus shared the sad news that her dog Mary Jane passed away. She posted on her Instagram story where she explained that Mary Jane had been diagnosed with cancer about a year ago.

She said in her post “It was something more than a friend or family member. Something so different. You can't define it. Our connection was purely DIVINE. An incomparable love." Miley also shared a song on her Instagram that she wrote about her several years ago called Mary Jane 5ever.

It was hard to look away from the news last night as Trump supporters stormed Capitol Hill, starting a riot which then sent the building into lockdown. The chaos started as lawmakers were formalizing Joe Biden’s election victory.A lot of different artists commented it like Pink who said,

“As a United States Citizen, and the daughter of two veterans, and the sister of another, I am ashamed of what is happening in Washington. Hypocrisy, shame, Embarrassment. Unpatriotic hypocritical sheep drinking poison Kool aid. This a sad day for America.”

John Legend went to Twitter to say, “Anyone who voted for this tragic shitty narcissist mess of a president bears responsibility for this debacle today. He has shown you exactly who he was all along. You still supported him. You are complicit in the attempted destruction of the country. You are not a patriot.”

Sara Bareilles said, “This is insane. Trump’s wreckless negligence and insistence on an alternate reality has built a real one in front of our eyes. This is beyond dangerous, pathetic and completely desperate. It’s not powerful to “rage” against the TRUTH. It’s anarchistic chaos. GROW THE F UP.”

Cardi B said “Where the National guards ?” Before they had shown up and added “The irony is pretty funny.........weren’t people just wild animals in the summer for demanding justice and now?......Let me just watch”

Selena Gomez who has been using her platform to call out different leaders of social media sites for allowing the share of misinformation said,

“Today is the result of allowing people with hate in their hearts to use platforms that should be used to bring people together and allow people to build community,” she wrote. “Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google, Mark Zuckerberg, Sheryl Sandberg, Jack Dorsey, Sundar Pichal, Susan Wojcicki — you have all failed the American people today, and I hope you’re going to fix things going forward.”

Demi Lovato shared tweets and posts about the riots with a caption that read,

“My heart is broken. It makes me too sad to believe how naive I was to think this couldn’t possibly happen, and yet it did. Here we are. For everyone in my comments saying “where’s d7” or wanting me to sing instead of speaking up about what needs to change in this country, THIS IS WHY I POST AS MUCH AS I DO. THIS IS WHY I CARE. THIS CANNOT HAPPEN ANY FUCKING MORE. I’m angry, embarrassed and ashamed. I’m in the studio working on something special after today’s assault on democracy.”

STORY 2

In order less stressful news today Zayn went on his Instagram story to tease that he has new music coming out tomorrow. The video had a few seconds of what we are assuming is the new song with a curtain and text that said “Tomorrow”.

We got the music video from The Weeknd for his song “Save Your Tears” and also a continuation from his whole bandage thing he’s been doing since he came out with his album After Hours. We have slowly seen him sporting more and more bandages on his face. When he was on stage at the American Music Awards he was hardly recognizable and now in the video for this song he is seen sporting many prosthetics to make it appear that he has a lot of plastic surgery in his face. A lot of people mainly just want to know his reasoning behind it and also if this is a look we can expect from him at the upcoming Super Bowl Halftime Show. Fans also think that he planed a Selena Gomez look alike in his video because one of the actresses looks surprisingly just like Selena.

Blue Ivy Carter, the daughter of Beyonce and Jay-Z is celebrating her 9th birthday today. This girl has already accomplished so much  in her short life. She is the youngest person to receive a Grammy nomination for the music video for “Brown Skin Girl” and if she wins she will become the younger Grammy winner in history.

Lizzo is defending herself after receiving a bunch of backlash after promoting a juice cleanse she went on. She posted videos to her TikTok and Instagram showing the progress photos of her 10 day cleanse and explained that after messing up her body by not eating properly. The comments quickly filled with people saying that she is promoting diet culture and unhealthy practices. Others say they were surprised at the fact that she would promote limited eating to people when she is all about preaching body positivity.

Lizzo responded by posting a video explaining that she didn’t do the cleanse in order to lose weight but to fix her stomach after eating lots of spicy food and drinking a lot in November. She talked about the benefits like sleep, inner peace, mental stability, her skin and more. She also made a post on her instagram saying, “To the people who look to me, please do not starve yourselves. I did not starve myself. I fed myself greens and water and fruit and protein and sunlight. You don’t have to do that to be beautiful or healthy. That was my way. You can do life your way. Remember, despite anything anyone says or does ✨DO WHAT YOU WANT WITH YOUR BODY”

Shawn Mendes opened up about people assuming and guessing his sexuality when he was on the podcast Armchair Expert with Dax Sheppard. He talked about having to respond to the speculation and said “It was so frustrating for me because there were some people in my life that I was very, very close to who were gay and in the closet, and I felt like this real anger for those people. I don’t know, it’s such a tricky thing. You want to say, ‘I’m not gay but it’d be fine if I was gay, but also there’s nothing wrong with being gay but I’m not.’ You don’t really know how to respond to the situation.”

He said that people have been calling him gay since he was 15 because of his feminine characteristics but when on to say that men shouldn’t feel shamed for being vulnerable and holding in emotions. It is nice that this is the message that he and people like Harry Styles are pushing because it’s totally true - we don’t need these “manly men” - we just need people who are comfortable in their skin.

After three years we are finally on our way to getting new music from Lorde. She went on a big trip to Antarctica last year that she says has been a huge influence on the album she is working on now.

Taylor Swift cleared up the rumours that she has a third secret album on the way. A lot of fans thought we could expect another one since they found the word “woodvale” in white font found on a photo she posted.

Taylor was on Jimmy Kimmel and explained that leaving that word there was actually an accident. She explained that she was keeping the album title “folklore” such a secret when creating the album and album art that she would use the word “woodvale” as a place holder. She said they were playing around with how the album title would look but then she ultimately decided to go without any text but forgot to remove the word. She said there is no album coming.

We have been really getting our Shawn Mendes fix with all of the content being released around (and including) his brand new album “Wonder”!

Shawn Mendes and his girlfriend Camila Cabello released a cover of the song “The Christmas Song” and said that the proceeds raised from the song will go to “Feeding America”

Shawn and Camila also announced that they would be donating 100 thousand dollars to the non profit organization themselves to help those in need.

Trends on TikTok are always fun and creative and there is one where people are making videos trying to get Miley Cyrus to comment on them -  One user said whatever Miley comments on her TikTok she would get tattooed on her - and Miley Cyrus used this as an opportunity to flirt and said 'how about you tell me the time and place of our first date'.

E! News posted a photo of Miley saying “If Miley Cyrus comments on this we'll change our Instagram bio to whatever she wants.” And Miley jumped at the opportunity to comment saying “We’re sorry for all the sh*t we said about Miley Cyrus”. They stuck to their promise and it’s now their new profile bio.

People are calling Cardi B out on being a little tone deaf when it comes to bragging about spending money online. It started when she tweeted out asking “Should I spend 88K for this damn purse ? Omggg it’s tempting.”

This triggered responses from people telling her to donate her money to hungry people, and not be boastful online.

Cardi responded by sharing screenshots and links to different stories about her donations to charities, including a $1 million US donation to COVID relief and 200 thousand meal supplements to frontline workers in New York.

In one of her tweets she said “Go cry about it.I never seen u tweet about me when I donated a million dollar twice now you here. I didn’t offended no body, didn’t do nothing illegal .Im not going to apologize because I work my ass off and I ask MY FANS! Which ARE MY FRIENDS A QUESTION!Ya want to be hurt so bad”.

Cardi has been vocal recently about her dislike for Twitter because of how toxic her fans can be so we could see her take another break from the social media platform in the future.

BTS singer Suga who is still recovering from surgery still performed with the group but just in hologram form. His hologram appeared with the group’s performance of “Life Goes On” on the Mnet Asian Music Awards which is just truly impressive. I don’t think I’ll get over the whole hologram thing, seems to futuristic. Suga had his surgery back on November 3rd to fix a damaged cartilage in his left shoulder, an injury that he has been dealing with since 2012 and is currently still recovering.

People are upset with the Saved By The Bell reboot over a joke they made about Selena Gomez and her kidney.

Halsey is weighing in on the Grammy 'snub' situation sparked initially by The Weeknd's omission from major consideration.

On her Instagram Stories, Halsey said “The Grammys are an elusive process. It can often be about behind the scenes private performances, knowing the right people, campaigning through the grapevine, with the right handshakes and “bribes” that can be ambiguous enough to pass as “non bribes.” And if you get that far, it’s about committing to exclusive TV performances and making sure you help the Academy make their millions in advertising on the night of the show. Perhaps sometimes it is but it’s not always about the music or quality or culture. Just wanted to get that off my chest.”

We are getting all kinds of love between Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello. Shawn did an interview with GQ and he talked about how he deals with body issues and always puts a lot of pressure on himself to look a certain way. He opened up about how Camila deals with critiques of her body and how that inspired him to gain more self confidence.

Camila Cabello posted a photo of her and Shawn on her instagram and talked about their relationship in the caption.

People have criticized Demi Lovato online over American Thanksgiving weekend, as she shared a photo of her cooking her turkey on her Instagram Stories, just weeks after she posted about her time with a live turkey at an animal sanctuary on her Instagram feed.

Several high profile music stars are speaking out in support of The Weeknd's GRAMMYs snub.

Drake went to Instagram to say:

“I think we should stop allowing ourselves to be shocked every year by the disconnect between impactful music and these awards and just accept that what once was the highest form of recognition may no longer matter to the artists that exist now and the ones that come after. It’s like a relative you keep expecting to fix up but they just can’t change their ways. The other day I said The Weeknd was a lock for either album or song of the year along with reasonable assumptions and it just never goes that way. This is a great time for somebody to start something new that we can build up over time and pass on to the generations to come.”

Nicki Minaj reposted Drake’s post after she expressed her own frustrations on Twitter over the matter. She said:

“Never forget the Grammys didn’t give me my best new artist award when I had 7 songs simultaneously charting on billboard and bigger first week than any female rapper in the last decade - went on to inspire a generation. They gave it to the white man Bon Iver.

Taylor Swift is has announced the release of her new film on Disney Plus called “folklore: the long pond studio sessions” which is full of intimate performances of the songs from her album folklore and also conversations of how the album came together.

She revealed that her boyfriend Joe Alwyn was also a part of the creating of the album. There was a mystery writer credited under the name William Bowery which she now admits is actually Joe. She said Joe plays piano and wrote the entire piano part for Exile and originally sang the duet part that ended up going to Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon.

Taylor currently is in the process of re-recording her old music and revealed on  Good Morning America that she has already re-recorded the song Love Song.

Shawn Mendes blessed us with his new documentary this week ‘In Wonder’ but then dropped a surprise concert film on Netflix as well! He said in a post to fans “Wanted to give you guys something as a thank you for all of the love on the doc. I know we all miss live shows so much right now so tonight we're releasing ‪#LiveInConcert‬, the full concert film from the Rogers Centre show”.

Jennifer Lopez stripped down for her single album art for #InTheMorning to show off that she’s fit and fabulous at 51.

Ticketmaster is already planning for what life is going to be like after we get a vaccine for COVID-19 and how that is going to affect concert goers. Billboard Magazine is reporting that they are going to have a feature you can pull up on your phone to show that you are vaccinated or whether you have tested negative for the coronavirus within 24 to 72 hours of the show.

The plan came after the news broke that Pfizer has developed a vaccine that is reportedly 90% effective at preventing the coronavirus.

The Country Music Association Awards took place last night and fans were quick to notice that attendees were not seen social distancing throughout the show and few seemed to be wearing masks.

Leading up to the award show there were a large number of musical guests that dropped out from appearing at the show.

Cardi B has responded to accusations of cultural appropriation for a photo she was in promoting her Reebok collaboration.

The photo shows Cardi who was photoshopped to resemble the Hindu goddess Durga while also holding a sneaker for the cover of Footwear News. It has since been removed from the publication’s instagram.

Cardi b captioned a video posted to her Instagram saying “I didn’t mean to offend or disrespect anybody’s culture. I can’t change the past but I’ll be more cautious in the future.” She then explained that the creative team told her the goddess represents strength,  femininity and liberation, and that is something she loves which made her want to do it.

Britney Spears has been trying to have her father removed as her main conservator.

Britney has once again been denied his removal and her lawyer is now saying that she is not going to perform or create music moving forward since that will only benefit her father more, and put more money in his pocket.

Her lawyer also said that Britney is scared of her father which solidifies the #FreeBritney concerns that so many of her fans have.

There has been some drama between Jason Derulo and the #BTSArmy over the last few weeks.

The ARMY is upset with Jason because they believe he did not give BTS enough credit for Savage Love reaching number one on the charts.

In a conversation with us at iHeartRadio Canada, Jason Derulo defended his reaction to the song's success, and called BTS 'his guys' while shouting out their creativity and influence on the song.

Many artists such as Demi Lovato, Lady Gaga, FINNEAS, Selena Gomez and Kanye West are giving their opinions on the close 2020 US Presidential Election results.

Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello have brought their relationship to the next level by adopting a puppy together! They got a handsome little guy that they named Tarzan and he already looks like a great addition to their family. #ShawnMendes is currently hanging out in Miami with Camila, her family and their four other dogs. TMZ has reported that Britney Spears has filed a request to give Bessemer Trust Company sole conservatorship of all her business affairs. This was done after it was reported that Tristar Sports and Entertainment Group quit as her business manager and Jamie, Britney’s dad hired Michael Kane of Miller Kaplan to take over without her input. This isn’t the first time that Britney has tried to have her father removed from the conservatorship, she tried and failed in August 2020.

Britney Spears posted a video to social media for the first time in about a month, saying “I know there have been a lot of comments and a lot of people saying a lot of different things about me but I am fine. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been in my life and I’m sending all of you guys a lot of prayers,  wishes and a lot of love.”

Britney Spears Seeks To Remove Dad As Co-Conservator

It was #Halloween over the weekend and although it wasn’t as big of a holiday as we usually get because of the pandemic that did not stop people from dressing up at home and some celebs pulled out all the stops. Lizzo dressed up in multiple costumes. One of them being the fly that landed in Mike Pence’s hair during the Vice Presidential debate and she also had a creative take on dressing up as a WAP by wearing a costume that looks like water and some cat ears - very creative. Lil Nas X was unrecognizable as Nicki Minaj, The Weeknd fully embraced the Nutty Professor, Céline Dion dressed up as Nanny McPhee, and #ShawnMendes and Camilla Cabello had a little less effort put into their costumes. Shawn went as himself but beat up - alright and Camilla was dressed as a Miami witch.

While most people dressed up to celebrate Halloween at home, a bunch of them all decided to party together thanks to #KendallJenner. Kendall is turning 25 years old tomorrow and decided to celebrate over the weekend with a Halloween party with more than 100 people in attendance including people like Justin Bieber, The Weekend, Doja Cat and Jaden Smith.

Entertainment Tonight reported that all guests had a rapid COVID test done before they were allowed to enter the party but the fact that no one was wearing a mask or social distancing while they were celebrating together is not cool. Someone also shared a photo from the party saying there was a no social media rule. No one really listened to that rule including Kendall’s sister Kylie Jenner who shared multiple videos on her story from the night just proving how how packed the party was.

Fans have been celebrating Taylor Swift by sharing the hashtag #TaylorIsFree on Twitter after news came out that Taylor is now allowed to re-record her original music. Taylor Swift has been prevented from the rights to her own musical catalog after it was sold to Scooter Braun’s company from Scott Borchetta, the head of Big Machine Records as part of a $300 million deal.

Taylor was open with her fans about everything that was going on and expressed her sadness and disgust over the deal she said she had no control over. Taylor did explain at the time that she is able to re-record her old albums starting in November 2020.

Taylor Swift also lent her music out to be used in a Biden-Harris 2020 Campaign Ad as she continues to endorse him for presidency. She allowed her song “Only The Young” from her Miss Americana Netflix documentary to be used in the ad that talks about issues such as the #MeToo movement, LGBTQ+ rights, racial injustice and the coronavirus pandemic.

Now that Halloween is over, the Queen of Christmas has announced the holiday seasons has officially began, #MariahCarey that is. She shared a video on her social media of a man dressed in a halloween costume entering a room where she is surrounded by Christmas decorations announcing that it’s time! Last year “All I Want For Christmas Is You” climbed back up on the Billboard Hot 100 reaching all the way to number one.

You can hear Mariah Carey's 'All I Want For Christmas is You' and MORE on iHeart the Holidays that just launched today!
