The Filum Show

Now that everyone's back from holidays, The Filum Show returns - but already there's changes afoot for the gang! With Mike Sheridan now departing to take up his career as a professional Keanu Reeves stalker / John Wick enthusiast, Eoin Ronayne takes on the role of host. Producer Dave, meanwhile, has gone missing in Greece and is presumed tanned - while Dee Molumby and Brian Lloyd have to try and produce the show themselves. 'Toy Story 4' and 'BrightBurn' are up for review, and we have a special interview with 'Metal Heart' director Hugh O'Conor and tickets to give away to its premiere!

In a very special episode of The Filum Show, Oscar-winning director Asif Kapadia stopped by the studio (after being in a car accident, long story) to talk about his latest documentary, 'Diego Maradona'. Kapadia previously directed 'Amy' and 'Senna', winning a Best Documentary Oscar for the former. Brian talked to Asif about navigating the research process, Maradona's own career, directing on David Fincher's Netflix series 'Mindhunter', and why his next project will be unlike anything he's done before.

First up we chat about Zac Efron as Ted Bundy in 'Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile' (such a long title). Then we chat about the JRR Tolkien biopic, conveniently titled 'Tolkien'.
Brian compares 'A Dog's Journey' to a warm cup of tea (which makes it fantastic in my book).

Sure we're back aren't we, not like us.

Lots of lovely reviews in this one, I'm not evening going to tell you what. They might be in the episode title though. They definitely are.

We're all excited for Avengers: Endgame coming out too. Except Mike, who only wants to see John Wick 3.
