On June 15th, Shelly-Ann Fraser Pryce opened up her 2024 Season Running 11.15 seconds in the 100m Dash. This was her first race on the track since the Budapest World championships in 2023 where she won a Bronze medal in the 100m dash.

The 2024 NCAA Championships capped off on Saturday with an NCAA Record by Arkansas in the Women's 4x400m Relay.

This performance was the perfect bookend to another year of amazing performances by collegiate athletes from across the country. From McKenzie Long and Ackelia Smith, to Louie Hinchliffe and Caleb Deal, the track and field world was graced with some of the best times and marks in the world for 2024.

At the 2024 European Athletics Championships, we arguably saw the greatest Triple Jump competition in history.

Jordan Diaz Fortun of Spain and Pedro Pichardo of Portugal went jump for jump fighting until the 6th round for the Gold Medal. Diaz Fortun came out on top with a mark of 18.18m, moving him to no.3 on the all-time list. Pichardo jumped 18.04m, which was just the 2nd time in history someone jumped 18m and did not win a competition.

With the dust still settling on a legendary competition out in Rome, the question remains, was this the greatest triple jump competition in history?

The 2024 Racers Grand Prix in Jamaica produced some electric performances on the track and in the field. The most notable of which turned out to be the Men's 100m Dash where Oblique Seville took down reining World Champion Noah Lyles, running a PB of 9.82 seconds, the fastest time by a Jamaican since Usain Bolt's 9.81 in 2016.

Seville has finished 4th place in the 100m at the last two World Championships, but with this performance, is now looking to turn the tides and capture an Olympic medal in Paris this summer.

The Prefontaine Classic is always one of the highlights on the Diamond League calendar as it brings together some of the top stars in the sport. 2024 was no different, as the Women's 100m Dash saw a head-to-head clash between World Champion Sha'Carri Richardson and Olympic Champion Elaine Thompson-Herah in arguably the most competitive 100m race of the 2024 Olympic season so far.

Though Sha'Carri took the win in 10.83 seconds, while Elaine finished last place in 11.30, the performances go a bit deeper than just their times on the clock.
