Slaughtered Vomit Dolls, if possible, was actually harder to watch than expected. We've heard about this movie in the past and have referenced it several times on the podcast. A movie that has some historical accuracy and depicts the horrors that occurred to Chinese and Russian prisoners of war by Unit 731. Aliens set "Plan 9" into motion on planet Earth by bringing the dead back to life and threatening the planet.

Plan 9 from Outer Space is the finale of Bad Movie January and the film is as bad as advertised. This was our second watch and it was as bad as remembered. It's so bad, that discussing it was such a challenge. Ed Wood Jr. is widely known as one of the worst directors and after watching this film, the criticism is understood. While Plan 9 is the plan for the aliens to bring the dead back to life, it's never discussed what happened with plans 1-8, but even if they did mention it, we're positive it would make this movie even more nonsensical. Bad Movie January rolls along with Feardotcom, a movie that was released in the early 2000s that tried to combine a supernatural ghost revenge tale with a sadistic doctor who tortures people on the internet. In trying to blend these two plots, the film is highly convoluted and dilutes the performance of the star of the film, Stephen Dorff. In a movie that attempted to do too much, it comes off lacking in acting, effects, and story. Watch the movie and catch our review.

We just couldn't wait to discuss The Bye Bye Man in Bad Movie January. After watching this movie a few times, we can't help believe how disjointed and nonsensical this movie is. The movie has so many plotholes it's actually hard to understand how it comes together. The Bye Bye Man along with his dog companion have almost no background except for what happens when his name is mentioned. While the movie is difficult to explain due to its lack of cohesion, it's a fun ride if it's not taken seriously. Watch the movie and catch our review.

Doom is widely known as an unsuccessful video game adaptation and it's hard to find video game references outside of the criticized first-person shooter sequence. A man, who was traumatized as a child during Christmas, experiences a mental break after being deceived at his work in a toy factory, goes on a killing spree around Christmas.

Christmas Evil is not at all what we were expecting during our first watch. Expecting a horror slasher, this film is a character piece of a man, traumatized by Christmas during his youth, loosing his grip on reality. Brandon Maggart, does a great job portraying a man transforming into his own vision of what Santa should be after discovering Santa isn't real. While the movie has misses in developing the story, it does have some good acting performances as well as a crazy ending. Watch the movie and catch our review.

Kim, a female reporter, investigates the death of an enflamed woman jumping off a building, leading to her involvement in a ritual sacrifice by a coven of witches during Christmas time.

Silent Night, Deadly Night 4: Initiation is by far the biggest deviation from the Silent Night, Deadly Night series and definitely the weirdest so far. We don't expect much else from Brian Yuzna, but with Clint Howard playing a character named Ricky, where it's completely left open if there's any continuity from the Ricky in the previous movies and the addition of body horror and bugs into known slasher films is a bit of a surprise. Not to mention, Christmas is barely mentioned in this movie that is a listed sequel of Christmas horror films. There is much to call out in this movie, but it is very entertaining. A family from California in inherits a house in Norway and moves in to furnish up the place, but encounter a presence in the barn.

There's Something in the Barn is a horror comedy that has a similar feel to Gremlins, but stands on its own as a charming film with some laughs, but also with a few gory kills. While there are inconsistencies in the movie, Martin Starr and the supporting cast maintain the laughs throughout and make the film an entertaining Christmas movie.
