With the highly anticipated Women's World Cup just around the corner, set to kick off in Australia and New Zealand in a week's time, we are bringing you a special three-part Women's World Cup series.
In this series, we'll be delving into the captivating world of women's football, exploring its impressive growth in recent years, and most importantly, discussing the profound impact that international tournaments, specifically the Women's World Cup, have on the grassroots game. To explore these topics, we'll be joined by a line-up of exciting guests, each representing a different facet of grassroots football.
In this first episode of the series, we are delighted to be joined by Nicola Brown. Despite having only been involved in football for a relatively short period of time, Nicola has rapidly become a prominent figure in Surrey grassroots football. She is currently involved with both coaching and volunteering at Epsom & Ewell Colts, as well as being the Assistant Coach for the U18 Women's team at Fulham FC.
In today's conversation, we'll explore Nicola's boundless passion for coaching in the women's and girls' game. We'll get her thoughts on the remarkable influence that the Lionesses have had on the sport, as well as the challenges that arise when it comes to getting more women involved in coaching and volunteering.
