Welcome back! It's been a while since we sat down for one of these, but the pod is BACK baby! JT and I got together to talk about some of our favorite films of the year that may not have otherwise made our Top 10 Best of the year lists. We break down some of the funniest, scariest, most surprising and most underrated films of the year in this lead up to our year end list of favorites coming soon! It's the second year of JT and I getting on the mic and going toe to toe over our favorite films of the year! 

Luckily for us there were plenty of great films to choose from, so we had a pretty diverse group of films to talk about.

JT and I sit down to talk about Spielberg's latest and we also revisit our top 5 movie musicals. It's probably his best movie since Saving Private Ryan (hot take?) and one of the very best of the year, so go check it out and then enjoy our discussion. JT and I recently went and checked out the new Paul Thomas Anderson movie, Licorice Pizza, and neither of us can stop thinking about it! It's another pod with Carson and JT, this time joined by the beautiful and hilarious Lauren Tyler Scott. Quentin Tarantino has his very first novel out now, and it's a fabulous novelization of his 9th film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. JT and I both read the new book AND we both rewatched the film, so we couldn't wait to sit down and talk to each other about it on the pod! Hope you read it, because we this episode is FULL of spoilers from both the book and the movie, so proceed with caution. 

JT and I discuss the differences between the two and what our overall takeaway was from Tarantino's first novel. Enjoy!
