  • Ep. 27: One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

Join us in watching and discussing Milos Forman's 1975 Best-picture winning masterpiece starring the best actor-winning Jack Nicholson and best actress-winning Louise Fletcher in her iconic role as Nurse Ratched herself. What a legendary queen we have here on this one! One of the best supporting casts to boot and an incredible story about individuality in the face of a machine that wants to control your every thought and move. Maybe there's a reason it won every major oscar in a legendarily good year for the oscars! If this blurb doesn't convince you to watch, trust me when I say that Chief's swagger strolling down the basketball court is a sight you won't want to miss!

  • Ep. 26: Dog Day Afternoon

Join us in watching and discussing Sidney Lumet's 1975 crime drama, oscar-winning masterpiece starring an oscar-nominated Al Pacino at the heart. This one is full of sweat, cigs, and working-class solidarity against the man. Truly one of the great movies of the 70's and very ahead of its time in a few key ways. We hope that you enjoy!

  • Ep. 25: Children of Men

Join us in watching and discussing Alfonso Cuaron's 2006 distopian near-future masterpiece starring Clive Owen, Julianne Moore and a phenomenal Michael Caine supporting performance. This one has everything you want from a movie, surprises, tears, thrills, incredible oners, and Baby Diego himself! This one was grossly overlooked at the oscars but history looks back on it much more fondly. Hope that you enjoy this one off of Ozzy's five faves!

  • Ep. 24: The Raid

Join us in watching and discussing Gareth Evans' 2012 Indonesian action/martial arts cult classic. Some of the coolest action cinematography you'll ever see meets one of the most head-empty (complimentary) plots of all-time. A Mike Shinoda soundtrack to boot??? Hope that you enjoy this one off of Dave's five faves!

  • Ep. 23: First Reformed

Join us in watching and discussing Paul Schrader's 2018 character study of a lonely alcoholic pastor played wonderfully by Ethan Hawke. What does it take to push a sad man with nothing going on in his life into radicalization? A little attention from Amanda Seyfried and being the first on the scene to a tragedy might do it for our friend Reverend Toller... Come for the dark, introspective, academy award-nominated screenplay and stay for the Cedric the Entertainer Mega-church leading persona. Hope you enjoy this one off of Dan's five faves!

  • Ep. 22: Magnolia

Join us in watching and discussing Paul Thomas Anderson's 1999 follow-up to Boogie Nights. Do you like big messy movies that take the spaghetti at a wall approach? So do I, and that's why I love this movie! Tons of ideas, a huge varied cast, daddy issues out the wazoo, everything you'd want in a film! You ever wonder what Tom Cruise would be like playing a manic Andrew Tate-esque womanizing influencer? Tune in to find out if you dare!

  • Ep. 21: The Hurt Locker

Join us in watching and discussing Kathryn Bigelow's 2009 Best Picture and Best Director winning war film starring Marvel's own Jeremy Renner and Anthony Mackie! Would you believe this testosterone-filled character study led to Bigelow becoming the first woman to win best director? Alanis Morissette could never... Tune in for this one if you are interested to learn about the type of guy whose heart rate drops while defusing shoddily-made bombs, but has a panic attack when going down the frozen food aisle in Walmart.

  • Ep. 20: The Princess Bride

Join us in watching and discussing Rob Reiner's 1987 Cult Classic starring a young Robin Wright and about a dozen of your favorite character actors. Our second foray into Rob Reiner's filmography is less divisive for the group with this crowd pleaser. Tune in to hear about 30 quotes you've seen referenced in pop culture since your childhood. It would be INCONCEIVABLE for you to skip this episode!

  • Ep. 19: Malcolm X

Join us in watching and discussing Spike Lee's 1992 Epic featuring an all-time great Denzel Washington performance who was RUDELY snubbed of a well-deserving Oscar win for his portrayal of the titular black revolutionary and thought leader himself. Do you wanna see some incredible accent work from the great Delroy Lindo? Do you wanna see one of the absolute best Spike dolly shots as Malcolm is levitating into his final public appearance? Do you wanna see Angela Bassett again? Of course you do! Strap in for a long one but a good one and remember to always greet an as-salamu alaykum with a solid wa alaykum as-salam if you're down for some good old-fashioned peace!

  • Ep. 18: Alien

Join us in watching and discussing Ridley Scott's 1979 Sci-fi horror masterpiece starring a young breakout Sigourney Weaver alongside an all-time murderer's row of character actors. This film has a ton of iconic imagery and lines and is a classic for a reason but for me it's really just one of the best sweaty, pro-union, anti-corporation movies around and I think that's pretty cool. Watch it and try to figure out which scene Ridley was screaming at Sigourney to "shave that damn minge!" along with other apocryphal anecdotes!
