The FliteCast

My largely spoiler-free full review of The Acolyte, where I rank it with the rest of the Star Wars shows, and why the diversity of its cast is still the biggest reason its being hated…despite it being the second most successful Star Wars show on Disney+.

This week we’ve got plenty of talk about the MCU and Captain America: Brave New World, what I would do if I was in charge of Star Trek, expectations for DC Studios at SDCC and a bit of sportsball talk about soccer and baseball among other things.

This week I pay my respects to Shelly Duvall and Benji Gregory from ALF and then get into some DC talk about how the impact of Jared Leto’s Joker and Suicide Squad is still appreciated by fans 8 years later, the fact that we’re one year away from Superman(2025), two weeks away from Comic-Con, and how The Penguin and other shows are moving to HBO. Plus, some thoughts on the Gladiator II first trailer.

It’s a NEW release day for the feedback show, with new thoughts and questions about The Acolyte, The Boys Season 4, can there be TWO Batman actors at the same time, are we adding video games to The List of things to catch up on, and how about Avengers vs. The Uncanny X-Men in the MCU? Lots to get into on a Sunday before the new week.

A lot of honest thoughts about the Superman set photo chaos, some spoiler talk about the latest episode of The Acolyte(which I still haven’t watched yet), the usual watch updates, and some chatter about the new trailers for Batman: Caped Crusader and The Penguin among other things this week.

My honest thoughts on the new Superman set photos from Cleveland, including why I won’t share them, the crazy reason we are probably getting so many of them, and how they barely tell us anything AND too much at the same damn time.

Also, some bonus talk about the announcement of Lanterns as an HBO Original Series.

Catching up on early Acolyte reviews from a few weeks ago, along with DCU talk, thoughts on superhero fatigue, the last of the early DCAU Batman episodes, and comparing each other’s watch lists for movies and TV shows among other things.

My honest thoughts on how The Acolyte proves the “Get Woke Go Broke” crowd is losing pathetically, and taking a closer look at some of James Gunn’s recent Threads announcements and postings about the DCU.

This week we share our spoilery thoughts on Furiosa and the conversation surrounding its box office, as well as provide plenty of watch updates on shows and movies, and take a look at just how big of an event Deadpool and Wolverine might be this year, among other things.
