Kevin and Lincoln speak with 100m world champion Christian Coleman about his suspension due to whereabouts failures that was announced on Tuesday by the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU). Coleman says he arrived back at home during the testing window on December 9, 2019 after doing some Christmas shopping, and that he never received a phone call from the doping control officer to indicate a test was to be initiated. The AIU says it knocked on Coleman’s door every 10 minutes for an hour with no response, and that no phone call is required in testing protocol. Plenty still needs to be sorted out in this case, but as it is, the world’s fastest man is facing the possibility of missing the 2021 Olympics if a two-year suspension is implemented.
