& “Men are more likely to use lethal force.” are just a few of the statistics Tanish and Maddie break down in this episode.
Tanish is a 17 year old Indian-American who enjoys cooking, swimming, and staying indoors to escape the AZ heat. After seeing himself and his friends struggle with mental health, he started the podcast Stopping Suicide Step by Step. Tanish has taken a strong interest in the wellbeing of our brain and what can be done to improve our lives.
In this episode Tanish and Maddie dive into what has made mental health so stigmatized and the importance of discussing that stigma. Some reasons why men have a higher suicide rate than women. How suicide is especially stigmatized in the Indian culture. As well as, working with parents who are skeptical of mental health.

As the oldest of 6, Aaralynn is dedicated to showing her younger siblings the importance of pushing through failure and never giving up. Despite the many difficulties she faced in publishing her book, including her grandfather's passing, her Google Drive crashing, and the struggle of finding a publisher, Aaralynn never let it stop her from pursuing her heart's desire.
