After failing to get into her dream school… Shan, a 17 year old who’s been homeschooled most of her life, is learning to turn things around and accept the failures and uncomfort life has to offer. From feeling too ‘sensitive’ to being diagnosed with BPD to starting in an online school, Shan is taking on life knowing that it won’t be easy but it’ll be worth it.
In this episode we dive into:
-Shan’s mental health journey with panic attacks, anxiety, and BPD.
-The importance of opening up to people you trust and finding those people.
-How therapy has impacted her journey.
-Her reaction to the rejection letter from UWC, the international charter school she applied for.
-Moving past failure and finding other ways to pursue her goals.
-The ability to thrive in the uncomfortable.
“Being young is about finding yourself and being lost at the same time.”
