This week, The Football Misfits Podcast celebrates ONE YEAR of existence! As for Episode 55, LV has made a triumphant return to the podcast as he, along with Ronny and Spencer, runs through the matches across the European leagues (as well as Tottenham's result against Paços de Ferreira). The three highlight some of the teams who had stellar starts to their domestic campaigns only for them to be brought back down to earth in their following matches; be it Barcelona, Manchester United, or Borussia Dortmund. In Italy, Cristiano Ronaldo's future at Juventus is, allegedly, up in the air with his Instagram post over the week fueling the transfer-rumor flames as the Bianconeri dropped points in their opener against Udinese. A huge scuffle between Olympique Marseille players and Nice supporters stole the headlines in France. The good brothers discuss the UEFA Player of the Year award, which will be awarded this week, before hitting the runway for BS of the Week.

On Episode 54 of The Football Misfits, Ronny and Spencer are joined by Sebastian North of the Campfire Football; where we discuss the return of club footy in England, Germany, and Spain. The guys rave over Brentford's historic first Premier League victory against Arsenal in West London, Paul Pogba's stellar showing against Leeds United, Tottenham edging Manchester City, and Liverpool returning to full strength. Over in Germany, Dortmund throttling Frankfurt and Bayern Munich struggling in their opener are topics of conversation. Spencer provides his takes on Real Madrid's La Liga debut while Ronny and Sebastian talk Barcelona's first match without Lionel Messi against Real Sociedad. The trio also gives their preview on the upcoming Serie A season and what they're looking forward to seeing. As always, the episode concludes with BS of the Week; this time a communications dept. blunder and a team underperforming after winning hardware share the spoils.
