The Lost Bus & Stronger Double Feature

Lost our minds 😣

Today we watched The Lost Bus starring Matthew McConaughey, and it genuinely wrecked us. The way the California fires were portrayed hit way too close to home—after everything we lost in a fire, this movie tugged on our heartstrings in a real, personal way. It’s intense, emotional, and honestly unforgettable.

If you haven’t seen it yet, go check it out—streaming now on Prime. It’s about to get real.

And that’s not all—we also dive into Stronger starring Jake Gyllenhaal, unpacking the Boston Marathon bombing and the resilience that followed. Heavy topics, real emotions, and full Forreel honesty.

Reel friends! This one found us.
I (Mani) was digging through an old hard drive and uncovered a lost episode from our Atlanta days—Avatar: The Way of Water.

The wild part? Nicole and I watched, reviewed, and scheduled Fire and Ash just a week ago. Coincidence… or fate? 👀

Either way, here’s an unplanned oldie but goodie. Press play!

Forreeel friends — it’s Oscar season, and Nicole and I decided… the Oscars are officially our Super Bowl 🏆

It took everything in us not to get fully dressed up and critique red carpet fits from our slightly sunken-in couch 😂

Today we’re talking about the 4-time Oscar-winning film we called — taking home Best Original Film and Best Actor, plus Best Original Score (Ludwig Göransson) and Best Cinematography (Autumn Durald Arkapaw).

Yes, it’s a vampire movie… but trust us — this is NOT just a vampire movie.

It’s streaming now on HBOMax, so do yourself a favor:
Turn it on. Put your phone down. Lock in.

Really immerse yourself in the world Ryan Coogler built — and see what we saw… or maybe even more.

We give you: Sinners.

As always, this is a spoiler-friendly podcast — so tap in, hear our thoughts, get swayed… and press play 🎥

*blows nose*

Nicole and I are still emotionally recovering from this one 🎥😭

Alright, no more dramatics—but this movie is different. Even months from now, we’re convinced its impact is going to stick with us for a lifetime. A fictional story that somehow hits harder than many “real” films, pulling on love, loss, and legacy in the most unexpected and powerful ways.

We truly believe this might be the greatest movie of 2025—and a serious Oscars heavyweight.

You already know how we do it—full spoilers ahead. So if you haven’t seen it yet, go rent it (it’s out of theaters now), watch it, and come right back. This one wrecked us and rebuilt us in just two hours, and we were so hyped we recorded the episode while grabbing a bite right after the movie—so don’t come for the ASMR 😂

Fire and Ash Wednesday

HOLY SMOKES! Nicole and I are fired up 🔥

Alright, enough with the puns, but this movie is different. Even months later, its impact feels like it will last a lifetime. A fictional story that somehow hits harder than many “real” movies, drawing parallels to real life in the most unexpected way.

🎬 SZN 2, EPISODE 2
Cozy… but not too cozy.

Nicole and I are in the woods of New Hampshire, staying in a semi-secluded Airbnb that feels a little too close to Crystal Lake.

The perfect (and slightly unsettling) setting to watch and dissect this crime thriller.

It’s 2026, and we’re starting the year strong 🔥
Mani and Nicole kick things off with one of the most anticipated films of 2025 — Marty Supreme — starring Critics Choice Best Actor winner Timothée Chalamet.

But that’s not all… 👀
We’re also welcoming our first guest of the year, and let’s just say this episode delivers:
harsh critiques, wild jokes, unexpected honesty, and yes — a little personal growth (we know… on a podcast).

Reel Friends, the wait is over. "Merry Christmas ya filthy animals"

We’re back with a little holiday hubub and a whole lot of nostalgia — consider this our Christmas gift to you.

Nicole and I revisit two childhood GIANTS and put them head-to-head:

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Jingle All the Way vs. Tim Allen’s The Santa Clause.

It’s laughs, christmas memories with dad, and friendly debate as we decide which movie deserves the milk and cookies… and which one might end up with coal.

Listen in, share the episode with your friends and family, and let us know which side you’re on.
