A much needed encouragement in the area of loving our "enemies." It's a command of Christ that brings the teeth and power of the cross into this world in a way that the outside world does not even desire to replicate. Be challenged by the story of a pastor praying for a suicide bomber during service and baptizing him as well as a trip through Matthew and Luke's sermon on the mount content. The Duggars, family behind 21 Kids and Counting, have been the subject of controversy of late due in part to the teaching that the family held to. Karai and Meredith share thoughts on and around the topic of the show and the family. We use the Duggars and Bill Gothards teaching as a case study in two of the prominent dangers of hyper-conservative theology: 1) Believing any earthly might stands a chance against Satan and 2) Forgetting the mercy of the Father and the Son.

We meditate on the faith displayed by a bible smuggler in India and those who travel long distances to get them. We consider our part to play in the drama of salvation includes giving of what we have to lift struggling saints and I challenge all of us to consider financially supporting some foreign missionary work as responsibly as we're able. Above it all, I challenge us all to get real about the cost to follow Christ and be unashamed as we preach repentance and eternal life to a dying world.

Coveting is one of those sins that we hear rumor about at most in our day in America. It's quite possible to exist as a Christian for a long time and not hear clear teaching on the danger of coveting. This episode is not an exhaustive study by any means but I hope it turns the light on in all of us to take this sin as the lethal sleeper agent that it is. You want to be usedul in the Kingdom. Start putting this to death.

Karai and Meredith begin the first part of a series diving into the means of grace and why a robust Christian life cannot happen apart from these. This episode focuses on encouraging all to devote themselves to learning God's Word from a belief that God is good and that he does good in the world and especially to his people. The foremost good God does for his people being saving us by grace through faith in Christ for the forgiveness of sins apart from our works AKA the gospel! The foreign way of life in King Jesus that IS LIFE for us is laid out for us in the Scriptures with much encouragement for our often depressed hearts and minds. Dig into the Scriptures and allow them to lead you to Jesus everyone!

A powerful meditation on the call to action embedded in the Gospel and a look at the persecution Christians faced in the last century in America fighting for justice for the African American.

God provides through WIC and food stamps too and we talk about our experience on WIC and what God taught us in that while challenging the idea of the "welfare queen" that can so often hinder our Kingdom progress. We hope this episode is an encouragement to all to accept the provision of God in and through these government aid programs while also challenging us to take Jesus and Paul at their words to help provide for each others poverty and so fulfill the gospel of Christ in our lives and church communities.
