The Forest Edge off-grid is our dream, the dream to live away from civilization, to live our lives as free as possible. We are a family of five humans, and four dogs, Chris and Paola, daughter Anabelle, two dogs Lobo and Tuna, Nana Monica, and uncle Heath, who is Chris's best friend, with his two dogs, Prissy and Buckshot. Like many others we have grown tired of the civilized world, the stress of it all, living under the control of leaders that do not seek our well-being but only seek their own benefit. We have come to know God, his Word and we want to live as He intended us to. We want to grow our own food, raise our own healthy animals, fish and hunt our own meats. Build our own homes, working for ourselves, raise our children free from the indoctrination of our public schools.
We will follow God's agricultural laws, His calendar and His word. We know it will be hard, the land we are going to has nothing on it. We will have to build everything from scratch, dig our own wells, prepare the land. As the time of our departure approaches, we are preparing, studying, reading, following those that have gone before us.
Right now we live in two RV's, we will bring them with us but eventually we plan on building our own cabins. We will build outdoor bathrooms, showers, chicken coops, a garden, a green house, a community center with a kitchen and gathering area. Some homesteaders we follow had to return to work in order to maintain their living, but we will be opening a primitive camping site on the property that we believe will provide enough income to allow us to stay in the homestead. We will also try to sell some of our goods, eggs and vegetables, even some of the amazing dishes Chris and Paola can make. Chris and Heath are also planning on fishing and hunting tours and lessons, they are very proficient.
The bad weather in Texas has slowed down our move, we are all anxious to leave but we understand that God's plan is perfect and His will be done. We are using this time to prepare work on our RV's so they are well acclimated for the harsher New Mexico weather. We hope you'll join us in our journey. You can choose to come and camp out with us, enjoy the fresh food breakfast that we offer, or come stay with us for a while and learn to homestead as we continue to learn to homestead. You can just simply follow us through our YouTube channel. Either way we would love to have you!.
