This week is a flowy, fun, top of the mountain type of week. I am seeing the practice culimnate into cool connections, and sounds closer to where I want them. I feature a song from Tom Waites, Time, and from John Mayer, Olivia. As well, on my old beat up piano, I play a song from a poem featured in the Facebook group, The Isolation Journals, from a new connection named Heather. She is a beautiful writer, as are the other writers in the Facebook group (all praise Suleika). Enjoy the podcast, and message me if you ever want to chat! 

This week I start with 2 old songs I am working on again, an then some brand new ones. As a reminder, each week I write new content in prep for my 3rd studio album. These are all unfinished experiments. Some with instrumentals only, some with vocals. Enjoy! 

This week I have some backpaged samples of great Splcie artists, and ideas I am working on. Most of these will be throwaways, but they are nice simple tunes for a long walk, drive, or time alone. Use headphones and prepare to reeeeelax. 

As I make my big shiny tunes, I dream of having breaks in the album, 1 to 2 minute thought quandries for my listeners where they can take a break from the 3 and a half minute format, and see possibly where the inspiration comes from. Or they can have a personal touch with my musical journey. The exciting thing is that some of these songs are meeting these album break requirments. Enjoy the quandries!

The podcast starting her will begin to take a different direction. I realized I was not in love with the idea of writing written content and learning about great musicians. It restricted my ability to explore other topics that could be important to my music. From here, 2 to 3 times a week I will try to post a new podcast of new music, me just jamming, getting ready for my new album. Follow along on insta @phor.ma, or @musicofchris. Cheers :) 

This is the second album I have put together, really it is an extension of the first album, and songs I kind of need to discard. Like many greats first albums, you see flaws, discrepencies, rants, and weirdness. I believe thats what these first two albums are. These are albums meant to be taken off my platforms one day, and kept in the backpages, in my podcast, there for the diehards. Soon I will be there, soon I will find my stride.
