That’s what Jesus asked Alex Kendrick to do as he wrote the story for the newest film from the Kendrick brothers.

Perry and Shawna dive into a conversation with filmmakers Alex and Stephen Kendrick about their new movie, The Forge, a story that gets at the heart of what it looks like to be a life-long apprentice of Jesus.

In The Forge Isaiah has some growing up to do. Just out of high school with no plans for his future, Isaiah is challenged by his single mom and a Jesus following businessman to make his life count for time and forever.

Through the discipling of his new mentor, prayers of his mother and a prayer warrior named Miss Clara, Isaiah is found by Jesus and finds himself caught up in the greatest story ever told.
