Liz and Sacha enact pages from a binder found at a thrift store full of some girl’s *NSYNC fan fiction that focuses on band member Joey Fatone and the love of his life, a narrator named Kelly.
After years of reading from this god damn binder, in this episode we get to the last page! And it's a who's who of, well, something. Kelly’s study partner is Marc Blucas (who played Riley Finn on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, a truly random choice, we agree). He invites her to watch him play basketball with Dean Cain, Topher Grace, Shane West, Barry Pepper and Casey Affleck. What an invitation! To sit in the stands and watch 90s celebrities play ball! We know you are jealous that this is not a true story featuring you. Kelly and Joey argue over the phone about Kelly's friendship with Marc while he’s out of town. In the meantime Marc thanks Kelly for helping him with business class, by arranging a performance of Johnny Rzeznik from the Goo Goo Dolls for her benefit in a large mansion. Then more shit hits more fans in true cliffhanger fashion, just in time for the story to conclude in true in medias res.
Also: random alliteration, ridiculous accompaniment, The Jersey Devil, menacing messages, notes in the margins…and more.
All this, while Sacha accompanies us on his piano.
What will become of this podcast now? Should we take suggestions? Will we ever learn how this story ends after the cliffhanger? Will the author of this binder ever discover us shamelessly reading from it? Perhaps one day the rest of the story will appear in another binder at some thrift store somewhere here in Chicago, and then we will get a satisfactory conclusion. E-mail us at CabooseZine(at)gmail(dot)com to tell us how you think it should end.

Liz and Sacha sit at the Some Office studio at the Cards Against Humanity building and enact pages from a binder found at a thrift store full of some girl’s *NSYNC fan fiction that focuses on band member Joey Fatone.
In this episode, our narrator Kelly learns the truth behind controversial pictures featuring a mystery girl with Joey. She also talks about going back to school, adopts a chimp and goes to the Bahamas. We snicker like twelve year old boys when someone accidentally says “thrust” instead of “trust,” discuss Whitney Houston “goosing it up,” deliberate whether to eat a banana, make grand hand gestures that nobody can see, incorrectly wish happy Krampusnacht on the wrong date and much more. All this, while Sacha plays songs on his piano of westward expansion mixed with holiday standards, most of which kind of sound like music that one would play on some horrific judgement day. And as usual, we laugh ourselves silly with how preposterous the whole thing is.
Links we said we'd include:
Sacha sang vocals on a cover of Gloomy Sunday you can listen to here for the movie called The Hagstone Demon that stars Mark Borchardt.
Liz was on a reality show. You can watch it here.

We come to you from the Some Office studio at the Cards Against Humanity building while reading aloud pages from a binder full of *NSYNC fan fiction found at a thrift store.
Topics featured in this episode: using Spotify against one’s will, coffee from Mariano’s as black as midnight on a moonless night yet somehow still also having sugar-free vanilla syrup and almond milk, Soapnet, W.G. Snuffy Walden and playing Sixpence None the Richer on a keyboard after consuming DayQuil while recurrently forgetting the melody. Oh yeah, there's what we're reading from in the binder too, accompanied by Sacha's piano.
In this episode, our narrator Kelly's adventures include coming home with her fiancé (Joey Fatone from *NSYNC), overwhelmed from the premier for “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” (that Joey was apparently in and was also somehow the spokesperson for). Kelly thinks about getting a job though Joey reminds her he has plenty of money. In New York they dine with Joey’s parents, run into Kelly’s ex, and prepare for Joey’s audition for the “Rent.” They also talk about their wedding. All the while, they continue to recover from a series of disappointments, compounded by an ominous envelope arriving that contains pictures of Joey with his arm around a blonde girl, accompanied by a note that asks, “Where does he go when he leaves you?”, leaving her reeling. WHAT A CLIFFHANGER!

In The Found *NSYNC Fan Fiction Radio Hour, we chronologically read aloud pages of an anonymous author's *NSYNC fan fiction, from a binder found at a thrift store. As usual, the story is told from the perspective of Joey Fatone's partner Kelly.
Continuing to emotionally recover from Kelly's miscarriage, Joey and Kelly bravely carry on. They fly somewhere and get ready for some event while he razzes her about her findiing John Rzeznik from the Goo Goo Dolls attractive. It isn’t until halfway through the episode we realize that Joey and Kelly are at the premier of My Big Fat Greek Wedding, that which Joey was in and that which, also, he is the spokesperson for. Also this episode: Joey presents Kelly a necklace, reveals he plans to audition for “Rent,” and then they run into Kevin Kline and Phoebe Cates.
We drink coffee from 711 with 2 shots of French Vanilla creamer each, with whiskey.
Additional topics incidentally discussed in this episode: MeTV FM Radio, repairing crayons, a sale at Record Breakers in Chicago, gesticulating with cigerettes, “She’ll Be Comin’ Round the Mountain,” Count Chocula, Billy Bush on Access Hollywood, Rita Wilson, 1984-era Van Halen, “Blowin’ In the Wind,” Blazes on 14th Street, Bhad Bhabie, Axel F without the keybords, IMDB, invasive questions, "E-mail My Heart," SUNNYD.
We said we'd post the crayon drawing Sacha was working on. Here it is:

This episode, we welcome back our friend Sarah, who found the binder!
Things have really developed with our narrator Kelly and Joe Fatone from *NSYNC. After a miscarriage, Kelly and Joey work on healing and consider their options about having children. Members of *NSYNC express their sympathies. The band’s tour stops in Chicago (which excites us to no end because we are, in fact, located in Chicago). *NSYNC band member JC Chasez breaks up with a girlfriend, a fan drools over Joey at Chicago’s O’Hare airport. Sarah outlines a likely scenario of how the binder came loose of the grip from the young adult that wrote it and made its way to us. And as usual, we try to decipher notes in the margin of the manuscript, criticize grammatical mistakes and survey additional evidence to support the theory that *NSYNC band member Lance Bass is an AI (possibly also, in outer space).
Also mentioned in this episode: chocolate making everything awesome, acting as if we’re filming with a camera in front of a live studio audience, Gwenyeth Paltrow’s recipe for salted eggs, hansonsecrets.livejournal.com, the theme to The Neverending Story, how “We Are the World” sounds like “Under the Sea,” angry harpsichords, pride in the use of the word “retorted” instead of “said,” the cuteness of seals, the prerequisite that every page of the binder must include 3 declarations of unconditional love, tattootheearth.com, Johnny Rzeznik from the Goo Goo Dolls, Raisons and Almonds: A Lullaby

In this episode we welcome a guest! Sarah, who found the binder that we read from! The script today provides a real roller coaster of an episode, where Kelly receives a letter from her ex (delivered via Sarah Michelle Geller) with an update about how he has moved on but can never forget her. Then there is blood, a hospital and a major impulse buy.
Also in this episode: tumeric tea, getting the chocolate the fuck out of the peanut butter, the theme to Proud Family, actress/January 1999 Playmate Jaime Bergman, the casualness with which famous names are thrown around, spontaneously erupting into songs from Sister Act, slant rhymes being only for people who are confident, a voice that is the bridge between sad puppy and Nixon, the inability to tell the difference between a four month old baby and four month old fetus, Back To the Shit by Millie Jackson.
Here's the fake dog nose we talk about in this episode, that we said we'd post. Woof!

In this episode, it’s a showdown between Joe Fatone’s pregnant fiancé Kelly and his ex-girlfriend (also named Kelly). Threats are made, the narrator makes realizations about closure, and Sarah Michelle Geller makes an appearance! We drink 7-11 hazelnut coffee and continue theories about authorship of the binder.
And! We realize that the Hava Nagila is basically the Can-can.
Also in this episode: lighting up loved ones near and far with Tiny Prints junk mail, the Yellow Pages, pop vs soda, Grace Zabriskie, the keyboard string patch setting that makes everything sound like the X-Files, Baby Tiger Cuddle Time, threatening to to tell a story about the Goo Goo Dolls, a Phillip Glass *NSYNC crossover and more!

In The Found *NSYNC Fan Fiction Radio Hour, we chronologically read aloud pages of one author's *NSYNC fan fiction, from a binder found at a thrift store. As usual, we question the author’s grammatical choices, enjoy irrelevant notes in the margins, all the while Sacha accompanies us on his keyboard.
In this episode, Joey Fatone and Kelly (the narrator of the story) drive down to Florida to reunite with the rest of the members of *NSYNC at the band’s compound, looking forward to sharing the news about Kelly’s pregnancy with Joey’s parents. Once there, some kind of trainer or choreographer named Wade is subjecting *NSYNC to extreme workouts, yet Joey still finds the energy to enthusiastically flirt with Kelly. In order to give our full attention to both performing the text from the binder and hash out exactly what is going on, we make our way through potent caffeinated beverages from New Wave Cafe in Logan Square in Chicago. We postulate a new theory about the origins of the material in the binder, and it’s a doozy! Plus! New found notes in the margins that lead to hot leads and speculation about the anonymous author!
Also in this episode: Picardy thirds, lime Jello-cream cheese dessert with Vitamix, fan fiction read ASMR-style, Chicago street sweepers, the usual puzzling choice of stage direction placement in the text, I’m Not a Girl Not Yet a Woman as a proposed national anthem, platinum edging, “I can feel you breathe” on the inside of ring, Silent Night as background music, Connie Chung’s meltdown, murder ballads, the notion that there is a higher probability of the binder being written by an artificial intelligence than Lance from *NSYNC actually being entertaining to anybody, a town in Illinois called Kenilworth.
We said we’d post a picture of something we couldn’t read. We think it might say, “Thanks for the saxe.” is it possible the writer spelled sex wrong? You be the judge.

Kelly (our narrator) and Joey Fatone from *NSYNC make plans to recover after watching the Twin Towers fall in New York on September 11th, 2001. Kelly wakes up in the hospital after having suffered a concussion to big news from Joey about her medical state. After talking to Joey’s parents, Joey gives a press announcement from inside his truck then decide to go for an 18 hour drive to Orlando! Meanwhile, we respond with drinking coffee laced with Cream de Cacao and Triple Sec from 1993 at Liz’s house on the 4th of July, while Chicago fireworks periodically interrupt.
Also in this episode: Foghorn Leghorn, Liz’s cat eating (see picture below), radio pledge drives vs television pledge drives, squeaky chairs that sound like goats, the delighful Hala Kahiki bar’s brand rum, coffee mugs made to look like tiki mugs, Mary Tyler Moore on Juvenile Diabetes Foundation commercials and more!
