We mistakenly believe that the situations we encounter have significance and we feel compelled to respond to them immediately. In many circumstances our egos dominate our actions causing us to make immoral choices. Yet the experiences in and of themselves are extraneous. The only relevance is this: in that precise moment are we willing to forgo our human impulses and act in accordance with God's directives? Many believers are unwilling to put aside their own pride and obey God's Commands.
