Adam was our representative in the Garden of Eden. So when he sinned, we sinned. Therefore, in him we are guilty of violating the holy law of God. However, we can't simply blame him for our situation because we sin against God many, many times a day, and we do so willingly. Due to our guilt, we deserve God's condemnation. What is our hope? That God will not hold our violation of His holy law (sin) against us. Fortunately, God graciously forgives the sins of His people because Jesus Christ is our representative. He lived in perfect obedience to God, and His perfect life is ours. And because of His crucifixion, our sins are forgiven. In this episode, I review several New Testament verses on forgiveness.
