  • Shock Over Migrant Children Getting In-Person Learning
    The San Diego Board of Education is sending its teachers to provide in-person learning to migrant teenagers who have crossed the border and are currently being sheltered at the San Diego Convention Center. Meanwhile, parents in the same district are frustrated that their children continue to learn remotely from home. Students are expected to transition to a hybrid model of in-person and remote learning starting April. 12th. Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA), whose district is in San Diego, weighs in on this and why he thinks it's a double standard that teachers are being asked to offer safe in-person instruction to unaccompanied minors but it's not safe enough for U.S. students to return to the classroom full-time.
    A World Health Organization report says the origins of the coronavirus that created the global pandemic was likely transmitted from animal to human in China. The study is far from being over but shows this coronavirus was not likely constructed or manipulated in a Wuhan lab. Perter Ben Embarek, the leader of the W-H-O investigative team that traveled to Wuhan, says "more work is needed." Jamie Metzl, is a member of the World Health Organization international advisory panel on Human Genome editing and author of the book "Hacking Darwin: Genetic Engineering and the Future of Humanity" discusses the new World Health Organization report regarding the origins of the coronavirus and the increased risk of something like this happening again with stronger strains.

    Home prices in suburban areas have surged in the past year as the pandemic has families fleeing densely populated cities for more rural areas. Nearly forty percent of houses being sold are bought for more than the seller asked for as possible homeowners outbid each other.   • Trial Begins In The Death Of George Floyd
    The murder trial of former Minneapolis police officer, Derek Chauvin for the death of George Floyd began on Monday. Last May a viral video showed officer Chauvin pressing his knee on Floyd's neck for nearly nine minutes until he died while being put under arrest. Violent protests erupted in the city of Minneapolis and across the U.S. following Floyd's death. FOX News National Correspondent Matt Finn has been covering this story since the beginning and was outside the courthouse during day one of the trial, he joins the Rundown to weigh in on the opening statements and what the atmosphere is like in Minneapolis. Former D.C. police detective and Fox News contributor Ted Williams also joined from Minneapolis to explain why he thinks this trial will become the "battle of the experts" and how this trial could impact the future of policing.
    On this date 40 years ago and just 69 days after becoming President of the United States, Ronald Reagan had an assassination attempt made against him. Six shots were fired at the President and those traveling with him as he tried to enter a waiting limousine. The first severely wounded Press Secretary James Brady. Two others hit a Washington D.C. Police Officer, Tom Delahanty and a secret service agent, Tim McCarthy, who were both trying to shield the President.  The final shot ricocheted off the limo and hit President Ronald Reagan. Bret Baier, is the host of Special Report with Bret Baier and Chief Political Anchor on the Fox News Channel joins to discuss a new documentary available now on Fox Nation "The Attempted Assassination of Ronald Reagan" the 40th Anniversary of the shooting.

    The filibuster is the Senate's legislative tool to delay the vote on a bill, resolution, or amendment. The longest filibuster speech was against the Civil Rights Act of 1957 which lasted 24 hours and 18 minutes. Democrats are saying the rule is being abused, but eliminating it could mean less roadblocks in the party's agenda moving forward. Leslie Marshall, Democrat Strategist and Fox News Contributor and Jason Chaffetz, Fox News Contributor, Former Utah Congressman (R), host of the "Jason In The House - The Jason Chaffetz Podcast" and served on House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform give their political opinions on the filibuster: who will have the upper hand and whether this is controversy is a political or hypocritical play.
     
    During President Biden's first open news conference last week he said the administration's new goal is to have 200 million coronavirus vaccines administered in his first 100 days in office, doubling what he originally projected. We are now at around five hundred and fifty thousand coronavirus deaths in the United States and while the majority of people who have been infected survive, some known as COVID-19 “long-haulers”, stay sick for weeks. Dr. Marty Makary, Fox News medical contributor, a professor of surgery and health policy at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine discusses what age bracket experiences these long lasting symptoms, can the vaccine can help and whether new treatments are being underutilized by doctors.

    Now Davis serves on the economics task force for reopening efforts in the state. During his interview he defended Newsom and his handling of the coronavirus pandemic and explains why he thinks the recall effort will be an uphill battle for organizers. He also weighs in on New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and calls for him to resign and step down because of his handling of nursing home deaths during the pandemic and recent sexual harassment allegations.
