He explains why it is important for every American to follow the White House guidelines for the Covid-19 and what the U.S. can learn from this crisis to better prepare the public healthcare system for the future.
    Italy is now the center of the global pandemic. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich lives in Rome and joins the Rundown to discuss the coronavirus outbreak and what life is like over there. Gingrich also weighs in on how this crisis has greatly damaged our already tense relationship with China.

  • Fox News Rundown Extra: A Former FEMA Chief On Coronavirus And The Failure of Personal Responsibility
    Earlier this week, host Jessica Rosenthal spoke to Brock Long, the former head of FEMA who led hurricane recovery efforts in 2017 and 2018. He also spearheaded efforts during Northern California's deadly Camp Fire.
    Brock joined the Rundown after President Trump announced FEMA had been activated in all regions and placed on its highest alert level to combat the coronavirus threat.
     
    We asked the former FEMA director what role the agency can play during a virus outbreak and how they can help states and local governments. He also talked about his experience running FEMA and how he quickly learned how underprepared we Americans were and are for a major disaster.

    The coronavirus has impacted every American, including members of Congress.
    While lawmakers work out a new way to help those hit hard financially by the pandemic, some are forced to self-quarantine at home.
    One of them is Senator Cory Gardner. He recently isolated himself in his Washington D.C. apartment after learning he came in contact with someone infected with COVID19.
    The Colorado Republican joined host Dave Anthony on The Rundown earlier this week to discuss his self-quarantine and how he was continuing his work on the coronavirus financial relief bill.
    Sen. Gardner also weighed in on Washington's new found bipartisanship, but also said the Democrat's efforts to impeach the President earlier this year distracted our country from the growing threat of the coronavirus.
    The conversation was long and our original segment only featured portions of the discussion.

    After a long delay, the controversial thriller "The Hunt" is now in theaters.
    Last summer, the movie was described as an anti-conservative slasher film and was shelved following the mass shootings in Dayton, Ohio and El Paso At the time, some feared its political undertones would spark more violence. Even President Trump tweeted about it.
    Earlier this week, special guest host Carley Shimkus spoke with Damon Lindelof, the co-creator of ABC's "Lost" and the co-writer of "The Hunt."
    Lindelof discussed the controversy that surrounded the film last year and how it's original trailer gave people the wrong impression.
    It was a great conversation, but because of time we could not include all of it in the segment that ran this week.
