  • Fox News Rundown Extra: Vet Congressman Mike Waltz On Trying To End America's Endless Wars
President Trump campaigned generally on the idea of bringing troops home from certain regions.
But more than three years into his presidency, thousands of troops are still stationed throughout the Middle East.
The recent hostilities with Iran once again raised the question, will there ever be an end to what even President Trump has called "endless wars."
Earlier this week on the Fox News Rundown, we looked at the debate over whether it is time to bring out troops home from Iraq and the middle east.
One of the guests we spoke to was Republican Congressman Mike Waltz from Florida. Waltz is also an army officer still serving in the national guard and is veteran of the War in Afghanistan.
Waltz was open about both the political and strategic realities of America withdrawing from the region. While he understands why Americans are tired of fighting 'endless wars,' he explained the important of maintaining a presence in hostile places like Iraq.
Because of time, we could not include our full conversation with Rep. Waltz, who had a lot to say about the current conflict in Iran and America's military strategy throughout the world.
On the Fox News Rundown Extra, you will hear our full conversation with veteran and Congressman Mike Waltz and hear his full take on whether it's time America leaves the Middle East.

  • Fox News Rundown Extra: Why Veteran Reporter Lara Logan Says Journalist Are "Abandoning" Their Standards
Veteran journalist Lara Logan's new Fox Nation series takes her to the US-Mexico border to report on drug and human trafficking.

While her new Fox Nation special is "Lara Logan Has No Agenda", Logan has been accused of having one in the past.
This is something she still denies.
During the original conversation with Logan, she also opened up about bias is the journalism business and past accusations that she herself had a conservative-leaning agenda while working at her former employer.
She told Chris Foster that her interest in covering the 2012 Benghazi terror attack, that led to the deaths of four Americans, upset some of the people at CBS News and they openly questioned her objectivity.
Because of time, the segment that ran this week focused on her reporting on the border and could not include Logan's thoughts on media bias and times she experienced managers quelling stories of her that they did not approve of.
On the Fox News Rundown Extra, we include our complete conversations with Lara Logan including her very candid thoughts on the news industry and how the mainstream media covers the most important stories of our time.
