Sam Bankman-Fried has been found guilty of defrauding investment customers of billions of dollars and now faces up to one hundred and ten years in jail. Federal jurors deliberated for just hours before delivering their verdict. Many of Bankman-Fried's inner circle testified against him before he himself took the stand in his own defense.

FBI Director Christopher Wray, appearing before a Senate committee yesterday, warned that the possibility terror attack on the United States "has elevated." The director said that law enforcement agents are scouring social media sites and other probes looking for any connection between the Hamas terror group and anyone living in the United States. It also increases concerns that foreign terrorist fighters that are a part of the Israel-Hamas conflict could be trying to get across the southern border.

Cornell University and the FBI are investigating a series of website posts that were threatening violence against the Jewish community of the New York school. One of the threats called for people to follow a Jewish person home and "slit their throats." The threats come days after a Cornell University associated professor of history, speaking at a rally, said he was "exhilarated" and "energized" by the Hamas terror attacks on Israel.

Maine has a similar law, but law enforcement must be notified of the threat before putting the individual in protective custody.
