In the 20th episode of FTMonthly Josh tackles cultural issues on both the left and right. The truth, is its own side, is that third wayism? Josh says no and analyzes a debate with Randal Rouser, The "woke right" and what to make of a sword ban in the UK and a troubling sermon from a Lutheran pastor about Jesus needing to "expand his goodness?"

Dr. Tim Stratton and Josh Klein are joined by Richard Suttles known as "The Fallen Ape-Theist" who identifies as an agnostic/atheist. As friends they discuss the reason Richard doesn't believe in God, what might change his mind, and how he thinks the way he does. If you ever wanted to get into the mind of an atheist this is a great window!

Theology Thursday meets FTMonthly today: We often think of "wokeness" as a term specifically meant to explain leftist takeovers of institutions but what if there was a form of wokeness on the right?

Dr. Neil Shenvi stops by to explain what the dissident right is and that, while it my eschew the label of "woke" it carries with it similar strategies and ideas about the world. Neil Shenvi is an author and speaker with PhD in Theoretical Chemistry and has written the books "Why Believe" and "Critical Dilemma" (w/ Pat Sawyer).

Neil has spent decades researching, writing and speaking against Critical Theory and the ideology that undergirds it. While he focuses mainly on the critiquing the left he has noticed a troubling trend on the right... is it real? we'll discuss.

note: Stephen Wolfe (author of The Case for Christian Nationalism) was invited to discuss with Neil in this episode.

Tim and Josh are BACK together and pulling no punches. What should the church think about Trump's theology? Specifically in relation to a recent IVF executive order, Paula White's entrance into his official orbit and Trump's stated plan in the USA taking over Gaza?

Josh and Tim discuss and possibly even fight about these things and more... As Christians its important to bring a theological, philosophical and reasonable perspective to political discourse.

Josh is joined by Thomas to discuss recent comments by Vice President JD Vance, also, bad Super Bowl ads, He Gets Us and more - Tim is out for a Maven Trip!

Josh is gone and Tim has... a replacement? Maybe not that extreme, but tune in to find out this Thursday at 3pm!

Dr. Tim Stratton and Josh Klein analyze a recent social media spat on immigration policy that Tim had and we look at the objectively GOOD policies currently coming from the Trump admin in Birthright Citizenship and an executive order meant to outlaw the "transing" of the kids.

January's FTMonthly Josh tackles a recent dialogue about LGBTQ+ inclusion in the church between @SeanMcDowell and Brandan Robertson, Why a 400 pound woman is suing Lyft and more.

"Woke" in this title refers to the fact that people have chastised Sean for having Robertson on by saying things about Robertson like why have a "woke heretic" on your show. It is not intended as pejorative.

Following Trump's inauguration he attended the inaugural prayer service at the National Cathedral... Episcopal Bishop Mariann Budde delivered the homily and was rather... pointed in her opposition to Trump's policies. Politics from the pulpit? Really? But... more importantly, was she right? Dr. Tim Stratton and Josh Klein analyze these moments (and a CNN segment from earlier in the day) to find out in this week's Theology Thursday.

It can be difficult parsing through the weeds of political appointments, especially as Christians. Not everyone has the time or ability so Josh Klein is joined by Winter Knight and Desert Rose to break down most of the cabinet picks in this episode with a Christian Conservative perspective... Are they good or bad, should Christians expect more or less?

Take a listen to this episode to find out!
