We are rebroadcasting a two-part series on the Old Testament book of Judges. After the death of Joshua, Israel found themselves without a leader and did what they thought was right in their own eyes. During this time there was a cycle of deliverers or judges. We’re focusing on two of those judges today. We’ll end the program with Apples of Gold, a dramatic reading from the life of Holocaust survivor Zvi Kalisher.

Have you ever heard of the land of Israel referred to as Palestine? Maybe it was on the news, or in a book, or maybe it was even said at your church. Where does the word Palestine come from and what does it mean? We welcome Dr. Randall Price to the program this week. Dr. Price breaks down this weighted word and gives insight into the different reasons it is used in today’s culture and churches. We’ll also hear about news surrounding Israel and find out how you can partner with us in taking the message of Jesus the Messiah to the world! As a faith-based ministry we cannot do this without the faithful giving from partners like you! Partner with us today by visiting radio.foi.org!

Happy Easter everyone! We are celebrating the resurrection of our Messiah, Jesus. Dr. Mike Stallard joins us on the program to talk in depth about his article in the March/April issue of Israel My Glory magazine, “Because He Lives: Why future and present blessing depend on Christ’s resurrection from the dead.” He and Chris will discuss how the resurrection affects us today and our future. We know you’ll be blessed.

Passover begins in a few days and we have invited Steve Herzig, our North American Ministries director into the studio to talk about his memories of Passover growing up in an orthodox Jewish family. He’ll also share about the connection between the Passover and Christianity. We believe seeing Christ in the Passover is life changing. We’ll end with a dramatic reading from Holocaust survivor Zvi Kalisher in Apples of Gold.

Ezekiel 36:24 says, “For I will take you from the nations, gather you from all the lands and bring you into your own land.” Scripture is clear that God desires to bring the Jewish people back to the land He promised them. And we are watching that happen! Danielle Mor joins us in the studio from The Jewish Agency for Israel. Chris and Danielle discuss how Israel helps the Jewish people come to live in their ancestral home and you’ll learn how you can help! We’ll also hear news surrounding Israel and Apples of Gold, a dramatic reading from Holocaust survivor Zvi Kalisher.

Have you ever heard of the “Green Line” in Israel? On April 3, 1949, 70 years ago, Israel signed a ceasefire agreement with Jordan forming an armistice line. We are taking a closer look at a seemingly small part of modern Israel’s history. But as Chris will share, this Green Line is a BIG deal. Knowing this part of history will help you as you navigate Middle East policy and the general language of the news surrounding Israel. We think the better Christians can help clear misconceptions about Israel, the better you can stand with the Jewish people! We’ll end the program with Apples of Gold, a dramatic reading from Holocaust survivor, Zvi Kalisher.

We’re wrapping up our 11 week series on The Common Thread. We’ve seen how the unconditional, never-ending covenant God made with Abraham in Genesis 12 connects the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation. As we conclude, Chris will share what will happen when God ultimately fulfills His promise to Abraham. We’ll let you in on it—it’s AMAZING! Also, enjoy news and analysis on Israel and Apples of Gold, a dramatic reading from Holocaust survivor, Zvi Kalisher.

Jeremiah 29:11 is a familiar verse to most of us. It promises that God has good plans for us. But do you know who this verse was written to? The Jewish people! That doesn’t mean believers in Jesus can’t use this powerful verse. Chris will teach us this week in our Common Thread series how this verse and others show the character of God and that He always keeps His promises. We can see this by looking at the rebirth of the modern state of Israel. You’ll also enjoy hearing news surrounding Israel and Apples of Gold, a dramatic reading from Holocaust survivor, Zvi Kalisher.

We come to the Apostle Paul this week as we go through the history of the Bible looking at The Common Thread that binds it all together, God’s unique and unconditional promise to Abraham. Paul was a Jewish man and a missionary to the Gentiles. Yet, he desired to see his brothers and sisters–the Jewish people–see that Jesus was the Messiah. Today we will hear how God strangely and purposefully took Paul to Rome. Why Rome? Listen and find out! Also, don’t miss a miraculous story in Apples of Gold and hear what’s happening with Israel in the news.

We are continuing in our series, The Common Thread. We hope you are seeing how one covenant or promise between Abraham and God has impacted the entire world. This week we see the blessing of this covenant through the Messiah. Many missed the reason for Jesus’s first coming. Chris will show us that because of their rejection, the entire world was blessed! We’ll also hear about news surrounding Israel and an update on our most recent issue of Israel My Glory magazine.
