In a time before Kendrick Lamar and Drake were beefin’…. three homies came together to talk about a whole lot of stuff and just straight up forgot to release it. That’s right, this episode was recording in the WAY, WAY back but that doesn’t mean it’s any less of a BANGER. Returning guest Nick Pyle literally crashes the podcast and nothing but hilarious banter and good friendship times are had. If you play this at high volume in your apartment alone, no one will KNOW.
You'll be happy to know that we used your favorite new buzzword from last episode and slapped that bad boy right in the title! Outside of this monstrosity of a word, the trio digs more into the origin of friendship between Shann and Cj, Shann tells the tale of obtaining Dad's Sandwiches and all the interesting bits that happened to him along the way. Cj tries to get everyone to get on board with games but they just ignore him and keep on chattin'. That's okay, because friendship is a give and take and boy is it getting taken. This episode will make you wish you maybe had better friends.
It's been a long while... we shouldn't have left you... without a guest spot to listen to! The boys welcome Sacramento sandwich boss, acclaimed musician and an old friend to Cj, Shann to the show! Without any prompting, they get into the friendship gap between the two old homies before performing a knee jerking turn in conversation involving the term "rizz", Shann's connection to Cj's old livejournal and a particular quirk that some may identify with. There’s so much goddang friendship in this one we had to split it into TWO PARTS! Part 2 coming… like the next one.
One event could have changed everything... The homies talk (in depth) about a missed chance of hanging on the American River many moons ago, real life cannon events and how Strongbow is the best commercially available cider on the market (suck it, Angry Orchard). No games because this one is all about that RIFT RAFT CHIT CHAT.
It appears the latest break has energized the boys to come out guns a'blazing on this one. For potentially the first time in TFP history, the nature of friendship is brought up; can it evolve like a traditional relationship or once you're dialed in that's it? They catch up in a very lengthy "Friendship Levels", discuss how TikTok is ruining the way we consume media (and podcast jerks) and BK swears there's a Daredevil 3 on the horizon. Rounded out with a classic round of "Slangin' Grades", it's a true return to form ya'll.
I don't want to hear it, it's new content either way. This was recorded in Feb 2023 on some equipment Cj knew nothing about. At this point it's a mixed bag what's going to be in here but it'll make you laugh, Promise.
No, your eyes aren't playing tricks on you; the homies actually got an episode out in a timely fashion! The boys experiment with a video podcast but not recording it (probably not the smartest move), discuss how the podcast has changed over the last few years and general be a couple of salty lil' bitches. Capped off with a very engaging game of "Slangin' Grades", this truly redefines what a Solo Bolo is.
There’s really no excuse for this one. Don’t know what’s in it, recorded it about a month or so ago and it could be a mess. Did we listen back on it? No. Will that make it a good epsidoe? I dunno. Are you asking too many questions? Absolutely! Stop reading and start listening!
Before Spotify, Stitcher and the countless other podcast applications… there was RSS. Take a seat next to the fire started by those who came before… as the boys welcome Tom to the show! Another friend from the Dungeons& Dragons group, the group explores the first beginnings of the podcasting landscape, how Tom got into the game itself and they play Slangin’ Grades with an ACTUAL TEACHER. HOW NUTS IS THAT?!?
It may feel kinda mid but the friendship vibes in this episode are anything but! Topics include society’s negative viewpoint on not folding clothes, the potential idea of adding a 3rd host to ruin the show and BK’s mic dies in the second half forcing Cj into some very uncomfortable stand up. A true return to form, yo.

About The Friendship Podcast

CJ and BK have been friends a long time, so it's only obvious that they use that as a platform for this show! Sometimes there's even a surprise guest!
