The Full Spin Club

This week on The Full Spin Club we listened to and discussed Rough and Rowdy Ways by none other than Bob Dylan. Timothee Chalamet tries his best to be a young Dylan but realistically we'd rather talk about music Bob is writing in his 80's, ya know? My guest and bringer of this interesting album is Cincinnati based comedian, author, animator, and renaissance man Alex Leeds! He breaks down why this is his favorite Bob Dylan album and we had some good conversations around what it means to grow up with a catalog of work like his. This week on The Full Spin Club we listened to and discussed The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill by none other than Ms. Lauryn Hill. The guest who brought this record to the club is the hilarious Cincinnati based comedian Karinne Turnbow! This is one of her all time favorite albums and I was stoked to give her a space to dive in and talk about what it meant to her. Such good conversations. This week on The Full Spin Club we listened to and discussed GNX by Kendrick Lamar. What a banger way to enter 2025. Guest David Chimusoro returned to unpack this bad boy before he left on his grand adventure moving home to Zimbabwe. Since he was the guest for pitting Drake and Kendrick Albums against each other during the beef, it only felt right to dive into the follow up Kendrick record with him. This week on The Full Spin Club we listened to and discussed A Sailor's Guide to Earth by Sturgill Simpson! This is a bit out of my comfort zone as a typical non-country guy. There's no better person to do that to me than my former camp counselor and old friend, Fred Morrison! I went on a trip to visit him out in Colorado and decided to make an episode with a beautiful backdrop. Enjoy this on-the-road episode and as always... This week on The Full Spin Club we listened to and discussed New Wave by Against Me! This was my first time hearing this record despite hearing about Against Me! plenty growing up in the Pop Punk space. My guest who brought this record to the club is Dayton based comedian and improvisor Nolan Kreeger! There was no shortage of cool topics to dive into with this record and I'm grateful to have them on. Give it a spin and make sure to like, comment and subscribe if you're new here!

This week on The Full Spin Club we listened to and discussed the album where Maroon 5 actually sounded like a real band, Songs About Jane. My guest is Louisville Kentucky based comedian and candle-making connoisseur Nathan Alexander! Nathan was under the impression Maroon 5 is cool which is objectively incorrect but this album for sure has it's moments. Some of these songs are real rippers. I've gotta give it to them. This week on The Full Spin Club we listened to and discussed Thundercat's It Is What It Is. Thundercat is the current day funk hero we need. My guest, Comedian Andrew Pinnell didn't really think that though. He says music is subjective... but it isn't I'm right. He makes some good points though and it was fun to introduce him to Thundercat's music. Give it a spin and make sure to like, comment and subscribe if you're new here!

This week on The Full Spin Club we listened to and discussed the 2020 Pandemic Classic- Post Human Survival Horror by Bring Me the Horizon. My guest is returning comedian and media connoisseur Tyler Jones! Tyler brought this album to the club because it's something he thought I would enjoy and he was right! I do hold a soft spot for this record (really the only BMTH album I like) and it was fun to talk about how it was made and how it reflected the Pandemic very well. This week on The Full Spin Club we listened to and discussed Penance Soiree by The Icarus Line. This album was brought to the club by my returning guest Karl Spaeth. Karl brings a taste of chaos to the show and frankly, despite it testing my control issues, it made for a fun episode. Karl loves this band a lot and I know I have a new band in rotation now myself. Give it a spin and make sure to like, comment and subscribe if you're new here!

This week on The Full Spin Club we listened to and discussed Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik by OutKast. My guest was Cincinnati comedian Phil Pointer! Phil holds a special place in his heart for this album and much like OutKast themselves.. he's got something to say. Give it a spin and make sure to like, comment and subscribe if you're new here!
