In 1977, three young Girl Scouts were murdered at Camp Scott near Locust Grove, Oklahoma, in a case that has haunted Oklahomans for nearly five decades.

Gene Leroy Hart was charged with the murders but was acquitted. Two months later, Hart died in prison while serving a sentence for unrelated crimes.

Former OSBI agent Dick Wilkerson, who worked the investigation and co-wrote a book about the case, shares an inside look at the search for the killer — and what it was like to watch the case become focused on the suspect while the three young victims were often forgotten.

OHP Trooper Brian Costanza recalls the split-second decision he made while pursuing Michael Vance in 2016.
