A dire disease, fallen kingdoms and a mysterious being known as “the Arrow Bringer.” That’s the world that newly minted author Lisa Mayer has crafted in her first book, “The Aletheian Journeys: The Arrow Bringer.”

Born into a family ravaged by genetic disease, Darcy Leech shares a coming of age story as much about beginnings as endings in exploring the life lessons learned in losing her brother and mother to myotonic muscular dystrophy. From My Mother is the honest story of finding joy through loss, living fully within limitations, and the universal struggle of grappling for identity against the device of innate genetic code through invested love and personal choice.
