Richie Kidwell, the owner of Air Quality Assessors and the president of the Restoration Association of Florida, is here to talk about the state of the insurance industry.

Richie formed the Restoration Association of Florida in 2014 when he experienced the insurance companies coming after public adjusters and contractors in legislation for the first time.

Insurance companies have much bigger budgets than any of us and have the ability to influence homeowners through big media channels.

Just look at what is happening right now. Because of a few bad apples, they are calling all public adjusters locusts.

Luckily, there are a few things you can do to prevent the insurance companies from going too far:

👉 Be professional and ethical. Don’t give the insurance companies more reason to portray us badly in the media!

👉 Document their misconduct. A time will come when our collected documentation could make a difference.

👉 Join forces with other public adjusters!

The fact people forget is that when insurance companies lobby for legislative changes that damage the restoration industry, they hurt the homeowners too.
