On this episode of Feudal Future, hosts Joel Kotkin and Marshall Toplansky are joined by California Globe author, Soledad Ursua, and LA Daily editor, Jill Stewart, for an inside look of the LA elections.

Soledad Ursúa is a principal at Orinoco Equities. She is a Los Angeles native, and an elected local official of the Venice Neighborhood Council and resident of Venice Beach.

Stewart was formerly managing editor of L.A. Weekly. She’s also served as a reporter for the Los Angeles Times, Buzz and New Times Los Angeles, where she focused on urban affairs, education and the environment. A longtime Southern California journalist, Stewart earned a Master’s degree in journalism from Stanford University. Stewart was formerly managing editor of L.A. Weekly. She’s also served as a reporter for the Los Angeles Times, Buzz and New Times Los Angeles, where she focused on urban affairs, education and the environment.

Stewart also wrote a popular column on California politics, wrote freelance articles for various websites and publications, including FairWarning.org, and has edited a variety of books on contemporary topics, including education and politics.
