The Gals take on a 21-day happiness project to consciously improve their moods and the results are noticeable. Inspired by Tashira Halyard of Politics & Fashion, we loved devoting time each day to activities that were free, fun and fulfilling. Plus, we’re spilling our thoughts and feelings on the GoT finale, the Bachelor franchise, late 90s music and more. 

This week the gals answer Brene Brown’s call to courage. We’re talking about her new Netflix special where we learned there is no courage without vulnerability. Then we get brave for tough things like salsa dancing with strangers, having difficult conversations with our parents, or finally going to the doctor. Plus, we’re loving Maggie Rogers, Bob Barker and trash pandas.

This week we sit down with purpose alignment coach, Colleen Coles, to discuss her process for helping women find their true selves. Her four-step approach to discovering your life’s purpose ranges from practical to woo-woo, and we got to experience our own energy clearing sessions  with Colleen. Plus, our love for Lady Gaga, what codependency really means and overcoming shadows to find the light within yourself.

So many of us suffer from anxiety and depression, and this week we’re taking a new approach to get to the root of our mental health. We learned about functional medicines like traditional Chinese medicine, nutrition and acupuncture; treating your systems, not just your symptoms; and how your mental health may be connected to chronic inflammatory issues like digestive distress and GI problems. Plus, our hearts are full with lady crushes: Queen Lizzo and the ladies of the Rebelle Community.

They say your morning routine can determine the success of the rest of your day. So, we set our alarm clocks a little earlier this week to see if going through our “ideal” morning routine really makes a difference. Plus, a three-hour chef’s dinner, Easter family time and our love of the Almost 30 podcast hosts, Krista and Lindsey.

This week we learn how to Be Amazing! and what it means it to Feel Your Best. Enjoying some of Richmond’s community wellness offerings, we learn about homeopathic treatments at Healthy Mornings and find stillness with meditation beers at Hardywood Brewery. Plus, we’re hyped up on the Game of Thrones premier and our love of the Mother of Dragons.

This week we try Orange Theory Fitness, and spoiler alert, it’s hard. Not “I’m going to die” hard, but definitely “I need to lie down after this” hard. In the end, we both got our splat points and lived to tell about it. Plus, we’ve got spring beauty secrets to share, Maggie adventures in Sarasota, Hollie plays with baby goats and we get inspired by AOC and JVN.

Holy harmonious hormones! The Gals explore Alisa Vitti’s book Woman Code and her philosophy on how to regulate your menstrual cycle, increase your fertility and rev up your sex drive. The science is a little complicated, but we’re definitely on board with embracing our feminine forces within! Plus, crushing on Justina Blakeney and the Jungalow.

The Gals are talking all about Rachel Hollis...the Girl, Wash Your Face book and the Made for More documentary. We’re on board with some of her advice, but also find a few issues, of course.
