He had just finished his stint in the (former) XFL, and was chatting about his journey and experience there. Now, two years later, I decided to run it back with Tyler as he's continued working hard, and has had a chance to kick in the newly revamped, USFL.

Growing up in Florida, Jon Willis was very familiar with what it took for athletes to compete at the next level. His own brother, (who played football at the highest level) was a major example to him as Jon would often train alongside his older brother and his brother's teammates/friends. 

In today's interview, we'll discuss some of the ways that Coach Jon Willis prepared himself (as a player) for the opportunities that would end up presenting themselves later on, and how he took advantage of those opportunities himself. It's something ALL athletes should take notes on. 

Also, we'll chat in-depth about the scope of the college athletics world. Coach Jon has experience coaching at the D3, NAIA, and JUCO levels, and was a D1 Basketball player himself. So he'll chat about how even JUCO has changed and how the talent level has increased. We'll talk about some of the reasons for that (including the transfer portal and many other things)

The director of Max Hoops and former Assistant (of 5 years) for the Pacific University Men's Basketball Team, Brant Minor, is joining the show today!

Everyone has a different journey to get to where they are, and for Hunter Belzo, the idea of playing professional football, seemed like it was slim when he ended up with a broken ankle early into his senior year in college. 

Little did Hunter know, the adversity he faced during that time, would only prepare him for different things to happen in the future. And what he has learned with football is when adversity hits, you have to find a way to keep going. 

That's why Hunter did the work himself to find himself with the Idaho Horsemen (Indoor Football Team) in 2021 so he could begin his professional career. And we'll hear about what his experience was like during his time in Idaho while he was here. 

Now, Hunter finds himself playing football overseas and having a great time. But we'll learn about the game overseas and the differences with what it's like over here in America. 

It's an awesome conversation with a guy who has so much information to share and his story is nothing short of inspiring!

Throughout her sports career, Taylor Hall never experienced a 'major' injury as she made her way through high school athletics and AAU basketball. She found herself playing at the collegiate level when she went through her first major hurdle of her career.  A knee injury is a basketball player's worst nightmare. And for Taylor that was just the beginning. 

Today you'll hear about her journey through the basketball world and the ups and downs she experienced with not one, but TWO major injuries. The information she shares with all of us today is perfect for any athlete who may be experiencing an injury for the first time.

Growing up in Texas, the basketball scene is pretty intense. The athletes from that state are no joke! And it helps you understand what it actually takes to improve your game and play at the next level. Which is exactly what Alex Hobbs did!

When I was covering sports for a different company here locally in Idaho, I remember the name coming up over and over again, Isaiah Wright from Borah High School! He was dominating all throuhgout high school. He was one of those talents that made an immediate impact from his freshman year on. 

What was awesome, is watching his journey from afar since then. From the time he spent at The University of Utah, as well as The University of San Diego, to the NBA G-League, and now playing professionally overseas, it's been a wild ride. 

What I didn't know however, were the details behind everything in the journey. And that's why this interview is special to me. To hear Isaiah, in his own words, explain what has happened behind the scenes and share the experiences he's had, is super cool to me. 

We'll chat about his experience at U of U where he was able to experience the NCAA Tournament in the two years he was there. And we'll talk about his decision to transfer to San Diego and finish his college career there before going to the professional level. 

We'll chat about the work it takes to play at the college level, as well as what the biggest transition to the professional level was. And then what it's like playing overseas compared to here in the states! 

His journey is just beginning and you'll hear him talking about that today on the show!

A young man from Southern California, who grew up with a father who played professional football, somehow finds his way to Boise, Idaho to play football for the Boise State Broncos. Today we get to find out more of the story behind it all.
