Episode 3 is a SPECIAL EPISODE and Creativity Call To Action called "The Ganru-Ko Show" in honor of the show's very first special guest KEIKO AGENA! KEIKO is an actress (now AUTHOR!) best known for the TV show, Gilmore Girls, where she played Lane Kim for seven seasons and reprised the role in 2016. As a guest star she has appeared on such shows as NCIS LA, Shameless, Scandal, House, ER and 13 Reasons Why. Keiko joins Ganru to discuss her new book No Mistakes, A Workbook for Imperfect Artists. Keiko's new book is an inspiring creative journal based on mindfulness practices and the “no mistakes” principles of improv.
Keiko believes her book is a gentle way to draw the creativity out of yourself. It takes a little bit of bravery to change the way we see ourselves. It's always a process of how we accept different parts of ourselves. She wants to help people discover their voice, accept their voice and express their voice.
Keiko shares with Ganru:
--How the idea to write her book started.
--How she started creating her own artwork.
--Who inspired her artistically.
--What you can learn immediately by reading her book.
--What can an (argueably) non-creative person gain from her book?
--What are the best ways to just START?
--How do you get out of your own way?
--What do you do when you feel stuck creatively?
--Why she loves poker.
--AND SO MUCH MORE!
