For many years the river city woke up to the voice of Shelley Lloyd as she read the news on ABC Radio Brisbane.

A veteran reporter, Shelley has over 25 years experience as a broadcaster, and has covered both federal and state politics in Canberra and Brisbane.

Shelley is also a keen photographer and is well known for her wildlife shots in and around The Gap, where she calls home.

In this interview Shelley chats about life in The Gap, the history of the suburb and how residents were affected when parts of The Gap were flattened during 'The Gap Storm' of 2008.
