This past month, there have been two fairly viral stories centering around a particular neighborhood in Brooklyn that Candice and Colin hold very close to their hearts. We’re talking about Summerhill and Becca Brennan and her “boozy sandwich shop”. We’re also talking about Kathleen Reilly and her harassment of local businesses on the block surrounding her. To wrap things up, there’s some serious Hipster Bullshit that needs to be addressed, and we’ve come to collect, ya’ll. We think it’s important to talk about whiteness and what happens to neighborhoods when the generational residents start to get pushed out, violently.
