In this episode of Small Town Tales, my guest, paranormal researcher Mike Delcoro, shares his insights on the benefits of extrasensory deprivation in connecting with spirits. 

Experimentation with techniques to move past the “left” brain and open channels to higher vibrations to communicate with the spirit world has been used for nearly a century. The Victorians used transcendent meditation; the Germans sought occultists and psychics to advance war strategies by tapping into the spirit world; Hans Holzer and even the Warrens tried various experiments to connect with Spirit. 

Extrasensory deprivation has long been believed to help open doorways into the spirit world.  Mike Delcoro discusses three different methods to test this during investigations, the Ganzfeld Experiment, the Estes Method, and one of his inventions, the DELCO Experiment.

In this episode of Small Town Tales Podcast, I discuss the hauntings and legends of the most haunted forest in the world, Hoia Forest. My guest is an experienced tour guide and explorer with years of experience with hiking and with personal paranormal encounters. Alex explains the Romanian legends and hauntings of Hoia Forest and says that he once found 60 people from Bucharest in the middle of the clearing where nothing grows trying to open a gate into another dimension.
 
The Hoia Baciu forest is just outside Cluj-Napoca, Romania,  in the middle of Transylvania. It has been called the most haunted forest in the world. And The clearing is, allegedly, the creepiest place in the forest. It defies the investigations of soil scientists and attracts Romanian witches, paranormal seekers, UFO enthusiasts, and people who try to cleanse the forest of evil.

In the second half of this episode, I sit down with Frances and Doug from Beyond the Veil Investigations to discuss their experiences with a negative haunting that was affecting their newborn baby. Frances and Doug provide insight into how they handled this haunting, protected their children, and how they regained control and security of their home. They are now on a mission to help other parents who may find themselves in this same situation. 

About Beyond the Veil Investigations:  Frances and Doug from Beyond the Veil Investigations are a married couple who investigate the paranormal. Frances has had paranormal experiences throughout her life, but it wasn't until they had a child and moved into a haunted house that the experiences intensified. Crystal, rainbow, and indigo children are spiritual beings here to help usher in an even high vibrational frequency. Small Town Tales Podcast Episode 21 - 2022
 
In this episode of Small Town Tales Podcast, I talk with author and paranormal researcher Gare Allen to discuss the paranormal in the police force and first responders.  Gare Allen delves into his own experiences with other-worldly experiences such as reincarnation, astral projection, channeling, and divination. Gare pens fiction to chronicle true events and experiences throughout his life and those he has interviewed in the paranormal field. The first line of his work, The Dead: A True Paranormal Story begins the candid story of true, paranormal experiences. Told in chronological sequence, Gare Allen describes, in haunting detail, his encounters with an intrusive spirit that haunts his house. He also shares the inspirations that led him to write his seven-book series, Lessons.

About Gare:  Author Gare Allen was born and raised in Tampa, Florida where he still resides. Years of metaphysical study and paranormal experiences resulted in fifteen books that chronicle his life experiences as well as those of others. In this episode of Small Town Tales Podcast, I talk with Psychic Medium Scott Allan about mediumship and his personal journey from working in a funeral home to acknowledging his abilities as a psychic medium. Scott tells his story of how he came to know his spirit guide, David, who forced him to recognize his purpose as a messenger of Spirit and to learn to use mediumship to bring comfort, closure, and hope to those who need help.

​Not only does my birthday occur this month, but also this interview with Travel Channel's Jereme Leonard to discuss a gumbo of personal experiences with the paranormal. A firefighter by day, and a demonologist by night, Jereme shares some chilling experiences with demonic entities and gives his own personal advice on what to do if you find yourself face to face with one.

Jereme Leonard grew up in Ponchatoula, Louisiana,  50 miles north of New Orleans. Known as the Cajun Demonologist, Jereme is a published author of the book, The Dwelling, a story about his experience on the Stinson Case. Shortly after this event took place, Jereme met a Roman Catholic priest that was a retired exorcist as their friendship grew father Padre Joseph took him under his wing and taught him the inns and out of demonology and spiritual warfare. Jereme became an ordained minister in February 2007. Later that year he also decided to become an active demonologist taking on malevolent cases and has been a working demonologist ever cents. Over the years, Jereme has had the pleasure of appearing on many different television shows.  In the summer of 2018, Jereme had the pleasure of working with WWE legend Chris Jericho on hunting monsters. And in 2019 Jeremy was cast as the cohost of Travel Channel’s Ghosts of Morgan city.

​I got the chance recently to meet the Ghost Magnet, Michelle LeBaron during a ghost investigation event, Washoe-Con, in Virginia City. In this hour, Michelle takes a deeper dive into some of the experiences from that night, as well as into her personal experiences of her own paranormal investigations. She also demonstrates some of the equipment that she likes to use, including a unique custom-made spirit box and reverse audio techniques.

Michelle LeBaron is a paranormal investigator, an intuitive, and empathic, Michelle uses her intuitions and feelings with s combination of old school and new school methods of investigating. She has collected videos, audio, photos, and compelling data about the afterlife.

Given the nickname “Ghost Magnet” by some of her friends and people, she has investigated with. The dead often speaks to her through electronic communication devices, EVPs, and disembodied voices (sometimes even calling her out by her full name).  Michelle is also a team member Reap Investigations West Coast.

Michelle’s goal is to spread love. light and happiness in the Paranormal community. Her paranormal passion runs deep, and her mission is to make a meaningful contribution to the field as well as help as many people as she can in the process (both living and dead) …

Small Town Tales Podcast April 2022

​Join me for an up-and-close interview with Tim Dennis, long-time radio host of one of my favorite programs, Darkness Radio. Recently, this somewhat silent partner stepped out of the shadows and took over the show as the frontman for Darkness Radio.  Get to know Tim and how he got fascinated by the paranormal personally in this interview, his personal story, and what he envisions for the future of our favorite paranormal radio show.

Tim Dennis grew up in Minnesota and is a second-generation broadcaster. He attended Winona State University and studied Mass Communication and Radio Broadcasting. He later graduated from Brown College in 1993. Tim has continued working in radio behind the scenes. He worked with Dave Schrader to found Darkness Radio back in 2006 as producer, co-host, and fill-in host for Darkness Radio and True Crime Tuesday. 

Tim continues today as host of both said programs. Tim has done public speaking events and workshops dealing with audio and visual evidence of the paranormal encounters. 

He teaches techniques on how best to use your ghost hunting equipment and what NOT to do. Tim's interest in the paranormal also stems from his youth with dream visitations from deceased relatives. Although he tilts towards the skeptical side, Tim remains open-minded and willing to explore the many possibilities of the paranormal.
