When Jesus compared two houses at the end of Matthew 7, the only reason one crashed and the other didn't was the foundation. It's ALL about the foundation. As church culture moves more and more into deconstruction, it's important to remember that God isn't calling us to rebuild better houses, but rather to repent for choosing the wrong foundation in the first place.

Just as a baby is born out of darkness and into light, so are followers of Jesus. Birthing revival is no different, and God is calling His bride out of shame and secrets and into the light of His love and grace. Revival brings confession and freedom, and it can't be entrusted to people who continually live in the shadows.

Everyone processes grief differently, and yet, all of us will find ourselves at some point on the ground facing a decision to stay there or do what David did: he got up from the ground and worshipped. Today, Paul shows us the grace of a God who calls His Bride to push through what was so she can give birth to what will be.

What can we learn from a positive pregnancy test? Probably a lot of things, but the most important lesson we learn is how faithful we'll be over such a small beginning. Jesus told His followers in Luke 16:10 that how we are now with little things is an indicator of how we'll be later with bigger things. He's birthing revival, and that means He's looking for those who do now with a little what they hope to do later with a lot.

"Where do babies come from?" It's a question that can strike fear in every parent, and yet it's the one question that we must understand if we're going to give birth to revival. The answer is so much more than biology, and nothing will be the same when we understand it.
