Known as "the Oscars of literature," the National Book Awards is to celebrate the best of American literature, to expand its audience, and to enhance the cultural value of great writing in America. March: Book 3 is the latest volume of an autobiographical series that recounts Congressman John Lewis' life during the Civil Rights Movement in 1960s America. Congressman Lewis from Georgia, helped organize the 1963 March on Washington, at which the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. gave his “I Have a Dream” speech. The book accounts the March's evens from Lewis' point of view, and is now a Trilogy of Lewis' stories surrounding the movement.
