Welcome to today's episode of our podcast, where we will be discussing the importance of women having other women to talk to. As human beings, we are social creatures, and having someone to talk to about our thoughts, feelings, and experiences can be incredibly beneficial for our mental and emotional wellbeing.
However, there is something uniquely special about the relationships women share with each other. Whether it's a best friend, sister, or mother, there is an unspoken understanding between women that creates a sense of safety and support that can be hard to find elsewhere.
Women often face unique challenges in life, such as navigating the pressures of motherhood, career advancement, and societal expectations around beauty and femininity. Having someone who understands these challenges firsthand can make all the difference in feeling validated, heard, and understood.
In this episode, we'll explore the many benefits of female friendships, from boosting self-esteem and reducing stress to providing a sense of belonging and fostering personal growth. We'll also discuss ways to cultivate and strengthen these relationships, as well as tips for finding supportive women communities.
So, if you're a woman looking to deepen your relationships with other women or simply curious about the power of female connections, then stay tuned for a thought-provoking and informative discussion.

ABOUT AGNES KNOWLES
I’ve probably done most of the things you expect a woman my age to have done: married and divorced; three children; variety of jobs over the years including a couple of home-based businesses and, finally, a pretty good career; gave up that career (and home and life) to move and take care of a dementing mother; adult daughter moved back home with a baby; financial struggles; sucker-punched by the post-2007 economy… waa, waa, waa – I know you probably tell a similar story (or worse).
The reason I tell you this is not for sympathy… (that gets us nowhere fast!) … but to let you know I understand this thing called ‘Retirement’ is new to us. We don’t have many real role models – our parents were probably old by this age – but we can be role models for future generations!
