This may have been my personal favorite episode to date. Gary is a scientist at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. When you get to his level, you are essentially an entrepreneur studying their own data on their own time.
We talk small business and what has happened during Covid-19... reasons why this is happening,.... and the coolest part is his breakdown of exactly how the vaccine works and why it is so revolutionary.
My biggest take away was his optimism on medicine, and humans being back on top in the near future. Thanks Gary, and anyone else who is on the front lines helping us out of Covid-19.
Butch Stearns is a Boston Legend. Our families happen to be neighbors in Braintree, MA, and I have been lucky to get to know him. Butch is the sports commentator on Boston News 25, and Chief Customer Officer of The Pulse. He is a great story teller and mentor, and it was a pleasure speaking with him.
Laura was one of OnDemand Storage's first customers, and our first true business relationship. She is an incredible stager, and even better person, as she is always getting very involved in her community and all sorts of charitable endeavors. Laura and I talk about the importance of reputation and the ability to adapt.
Wim Prest is my first guest on The Getting it Done Podcast (formerly known as Barons of Boston). Wim is a business coach and executive at Dell Technologies. He has mentored and done business with some incredible people during his career, and for the first time on one of these calls, started interviewing me in the middle, which I really enjoyed. Thanks Wim!
Susan McConnell is a connector! Every time we talk I end up meeting 10 more people and it is amazing. That's why her companies are so useful to so many entrepreneurs. She offers a lot of good advice here for those who are in business or looking to start!
